Dan Hardy was forced to quit his fighting career following a rare heart condition, he withdrew from fighting but stayed connected with UFC as a fight analyst and commentator.

But fans felt his absence for quite some time now and he finally revealed that he is no longer working directly under UFC. Hardy was also cleared recently to compete and he called out Matt Brown for a fight.

Although no one knows if the fight is getting booked or not, fans were excited to learn that he is making his octagon return soon, Hardy also disclosed that BJ Penn.com used a misleading headline that involves his absence due to a disagreement with a female employee.

He wrote, “Rather misleading headline there, @bjpenndotcom. Not entirely accurate either.”
“I am no longer working directly with the UFC. The ‘female’ part is irrelevant. It was a disagreement over an opportunity missed, or withheld, and I’d love some answers but can’t get any.”

Dan Hardy speaks out on his beef with Herb Dean

Herb Dean and Dan Hardy

Herb Dean has been officiating MMA bouts for a long time but every now and then these referees fail to stop the fight at the right time, or something else happens.

The same thing happened when Hardy shouted at Dean to stop the fight when Jai Herbert knocked out Francisco Trinaldo, and these two got into a heated conversation immediately after.

Hardy said, “Herb needs to understand that there was a mistake made here, and there needs to be accountability that needs to be taken. It’s just a learning opportunity, and if it’s not taken as a learning opportunity, then we’re all losing, especially fighters and brain cells.”

“We need to upgrade the awareness of some of these officials, and we also need to hold them accountable for situations like this, when they can’t take it upon themself to do it.”
