Fans are left utterly disappointed as they saw their favorite team, the Baltimore Ravens lose yet another playoff match and fail to reach the Super Bowl. They had high hopes for the team this season, particularly quarterback Lamar Jackson, but their playoff journey ended in heartbreak, leaving fans grief another missed opportunity.

Instead of rallying behind their team, the Ravens fans have turned their frustration into criticism, targeting Jackson and the star tight end Mark Andrews as the duo failed to connect for a crucial two-point in the final moments of the game– a play that could have secured a victory against the Buffalo Bills

Much of the heat has been directed toward Andrews after he dropped the most significant pass thrown by the signal-caller late in the game. This missed opportunity, coupled with some earlier mistakes, has fueled intense backlash on the internet despite the duo’s significant contributions throughout the season and even in the game.

Dan Orlovsky stands up for Ravens’ Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews following heartbreaking elimination

In the wake of the Ravens’ heartbreaking playoff loss, ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky came forward to speak in defense of the star quarterback and tight end. By sharing a post on X, he called out the criticizing fans and everyone out there, who have been placing the blame on the star players.

If you put the loss on Lamar tonight, respectfully, you’re a loser. Mark Andrews is one of the all time ravens—he had a brutal drop and fumble yes. If you’re gonna use that to trash him, respectfully, you’re a loser.

While it’s undisputable that the three-time Pro Bowler had a tough game with the critical drop and a fumble, he also posted a team-high five receptions for 61 yards. Jackson staged an impressive comeback when the Ravens were trailing by eight points in the late game after throwing a touchdown catch to Isiah Likely, but ultimately, they were left short by two points against the Buffalo Bills.

Despite the hate the tight end is receiving for dropping the crucial pass, the Ravens have refrained from placing the blame solely on him. Instead, they decided to emphasize situations, where the team fell short altogether.

They understand that if the situation had been in Andrews’ control, he would not have let the ball slip through his grasp. However, in the two-point conversion attempt, the pass hit him in the stomach, causing him to fall backward into the end zone and ultimately resulting in the ball slipping away.
