Dan Orlovsky doesn’t mind if the Dallas Cowboys fans give Micah Parsons a hostile welcome. He wants them to boo the 26-year-old pass rusher.

On Sunday, September 28, Parsons returns to Arlington, one month removed from his trade to the Green Bay Packers. He wasn’t counting on the Cowboys‘ front office to make a tribute video for him, and he won’t be getting one either.

Speaking on ESPN’s First Take, Dan Orlovsky stated that the Cowboys can hate on Parsons as much as they want, but the organization did him a favor by trading him to the Packers.

I literally don’t care. Boo him if you want. Micah should be thanking the Cowboys for what they did to him. They got him out of there [Dallas]. They are not a good football team. And they got him 150+ million [188 million]… They just wanna boo him, boo him.

Dan Orlovsky said

Jones traded Parsons following a long offseason standoff regarding his contract. The Packers agreed to sign Micah to a four-year, $188 million contract, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

Earlier this week, Jones dismissed the idea of playing a tribute video for Parsons because the veteran GM doesn’t view the All-Pro LB in the same light as some of the legends of the club.

Parsons wasn’t disappointed after hearing Jones’ statement. In fact, he banked on receiving a warm welcome from the fans at AT&T Stadium.

I don’t think that’s appropriate this way. Emmitt [Smith returning to Dallas] was a different story. But that’s not to diminish Micah. I think Micah’s got enough welcome out there. We just need to show we’ve got antidotes for that.

Micah Parsons said

Orlovsky’s colleague and former NFL DB, Ryan Clark, cracked a joke on the tribute video, drawing parallels with Luka Doncic’s return to the Dallas Mavericks after he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.

You know what happened the last time Dallas traded a star, and they [Mavs] did a tribute video. Luka [Doncic] dropped 45, and they beat [the Lakers] dang near by 20 points. If I was the Dallas Cowboys, I would have Micah clown shirts in every seat and I would have a shirt that says, ‘I hope your beard never connects and you keep going bald’.

Dan Orlovsky sounds the alarm for the Cowboys

Brian Schottenheimer’s Cowboys are 1-2 after week three, following losses to the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears, and their only win came in an overtime win against the New York Giants in week 2. The Packers, meanwhile, succumbed to a shocking defeat at the hands of the previously winless Cleveland Browns, following consecutive wins over the Detroit Lions and the Washington Commanders.

The latest Vegas odds indicate that the Packers are massive favorites to snatch their third win in Dallas. Dan Orlovsky backed the odds because the Cowboys are missing several key pieces, including WR CeeDee Lamb and Trevon Diggs.

Cowboys are gonna get whooped. This offense without CeeDee Lamb, with two offensive lineman out? Going against this defensive line that’s one of, if not the best, pass-rushing defensive lines in football. They’re going to get smoked.

Parsons is waiting to sack his ex-quarterback, Dak Prescott, when they come face-to-face in the middle of the field. Prescott has had a decent start to the year, completing 800 yards on 90 completions, 3 touchdowns, and 3 picks.

I hope it’s not [painful] for me. And I hope he doesn’t get to me.)

Prescott said in response to Parsons’ statement about sacking him during the game. (HT/Jon Machota of The Athletic)
