“Didn’t wanna be the next RGIII” – Dan Orlovsky bizarrely deletes ‘Protect our daughters’ tweet citing it doesn’t align with ESPN’s views, gets slammed
Dan Orlovsky had no other option but to delete his tweet supporting the ban of transgender athletes from female competition in the Paris Olympics.

Two weeks after deleting his tweet on the controversy surrounding Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky came clean with the reason behind his actions. He revealed the best course of action was to delete the tweet because it did not coincide with the company that employed him.
Khelif, an alleged trans woman athlete participating in the women’s category, became a global name after a failed gender test set fire on social media, demanding the boxer’s immediate disqualification from the Paris Olympics. Pat McAfee dedicated an entire episode discussing whether it was correct for the Olympic committee to allow Khelif to box biological females.
Shortly after the episode, Dan Orlovsky tweeted out, showing solidarity for the female athletes with the caption, “Protect our daughters.”
However, being a familiar face on the internet, his words grew much steam, and later he had to delete the tweet.

Social media in shock to find out the reason behind Dan Orlovsky deleting his tweet
The former Detroit Lions quarterback who joined ESPN after retiring from football spoke with Barrett Media’s Derek Futterman and hinted at the possible reason behind deleting his tweet. With all the string of sackings from the network for various reasons, Orlovsky perhaps did not want to end up on his boss’ bad side.
When you’re an employee of a big company, your social media page doesn’t just get to be your social media page. That’s a fantasy, so you have to represent yourself and the company that you work for in the proper way.Dan Orlovsky revealed
The internet was shocked to hear about the reason and compared the 40-year-old’s situation with Robert Griffin III, whom the network fired on Thursday along with Sam Ponder.

Let me get this straight… protecting our daughters doesn’t align with ESPN’s views?
— That Hurts (@That_Hurts) August 16, 2024
Wow.
ESPN doesn’t want people to protect their daughters?
— B Young (@TDCeeDee) August 16, 2024
So you'd rather be a coward and represent the network you work for and not your own daughters? Got it.

That’s a weird thing to not represent

Your woke agenda will be your demise.
That’s why RG3 was canned. Way too Christian for the Satan worshippers at Disney.

So much for real diversity which is diversity of thought. You’re no better than authoritarian dictators @espn @Disney

Similar to Orlovsky, Robert Griffin III spoke out against ESPN’s biased views about the Florida State Football program. Last season, the ACC team was denied entry into the CFP playoffs even after going undefeated the entire season. Nick Saban’s Alabama received permission to play because Crimson Tide has a much larger fanbase compared to the Seminoles.
Anyone who is throwing shade at or trying to take cheap shots at Florida State for being left out of the College Football Playoff last year must be out of touch with reality. RG3 wasn’t happy with the decision and continued to speak out against the decision, which ESPN supported. Eventually, the network fired him, citing financial troubles. As for Orlovsky, he remains safe for the time being because he accepted the terms set by his bosses.
