The Chiefs aim to secure their third consecutive Super Bowl victory, a feat never achieved in NFL history. A crucial factor in their pursuit is the performance of tight end Travis Kelce, whose production has dipped this season.
Kelce has recorded 97 receptions but posted career-low stats with 823 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The TE, the boyfriend of the famed international singer Taylor Swift, is speculated to retire after the end of this season and settle down.
During Thursday’s episode of ESPN’s “First Take,” analyst Dan Orlovsky suggested it could be a real possibility under certain conditions.

"If he goes and has that vintage Kelce performance … and [the Chiefs] go on to three-peat, I think retirement becomes a very real thing." 👏 pic.twitter.com/SVEWmohH4r
If Orlovsky’s prediction proves accurate, Kelce would retire as a sure-fire Hall of Famer, having already amassed 1,004 receptions, 12,151 yards, and 79 total touchdowns. He’s also earned four First-Team All-Pro honors, appeared in 10 Pro Bowls, and played a pivotal role in three championship-winning teams.
