The Washington Commanders break records each time they step on the field– a reputation whose credit entirely goes to rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels that even the pundits agree with. However, not everyone is entirely happy with the surprising success of the franchise as they are set to appear in the NFC championship game for the first time since 1993.
While the current owner Josh Harris is wondering how to face the angry Philadelphia fans for the NFC showdown when his NBA team based in Philly has been struggling to reach the conference finals for the past seven consecutive seasons; the former owner Dan Snyder is pouting over the success of Washington without him.
As relieved as he may have been feeling last season with the Commanders’ disastrous 4-13 season for selling the franchise, he is certainly regretting seeing the brilliant turnaround of the team under rookie Daniels. Though Snyder may not admit it publicly, he expressed his unfiltered thoughts at a dinner with some associates in London, which ESPN’s Seth Wickersham and Don Van Natta Jr., got their hands on.
“He f***ing hates it,” revealed one of his associates present at the dinner about Snyder’s feelings.

The Commanders’ stint with Snyder is known to be the darkest time to be a supporter of the team, which fans believe would continue even with Harris, given the struggles of his NBA franchise, the Philadelphia 76ers.
In 24 years, Washington made the playoffs merely six times and didn’t even win a playoff game since 2005 until Daniels broke it with his dominating victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the opening game of the 2024-25 playoffs.
Why Dan Synder had to sell the Commanders despite his wishes
Not many know this, but Snyder never wanted to sell the Commanders despite the franchise holding the sixth-worst record from 1999 to 2022 under his ownership. In fact, he reportedly tried to blow up the sale he put on for the Commanders last year, whose information didn’t leave the table of Harris’ company or his inner circle until now.
But due to the pressure made by the co-owners, who allegedly hated him, Snyder had no other option than to sell the franchise to 76ers owner, Harris, for $6.05 billion. Despite his best efforts, Snyder couldn’t escape the reputation of the “worst owner in the history of the National Football League,” as former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue revealed recently to a source.
In fact, the reason why the struggle Commanders were told such a whopping price was also because of Snyder, who put the starting price at $6 billion, knowing that not many could afford it. He refused to lower the price but Harris of dedicated and so were the former co-owners, who made the deal possible and Snyder had to step out.
