While an isolated PPV undercard fighter could make sense, he is the UFC 315 headliner. Belal Muhammad literally has had his face postered in every media package, all week long. While not the first time Muhmmad has faced these, this particular happenstance was weirdly mortifying.

Muhammad had gone through a who’s who of names like Gilbert Burns, Stephen Thompson, Vicente Luque, Demian Maia, and even Sean Brady (with Round-two TKO) to earn a title crack. Yet, many often dumbed him down and his efforts.

This is the hard render of the narrative that he lacks good appeal as a champ and a big PPV draw. However, come this weekend, he’d have a good chance to prove everyone wrong and keep his gold intact.
