When in Rome — it’s best to rep all things ‘Roman’ and get with the process. When visiting for the UFC 315 PPV event headliner, Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, better to go to the biggest MMA Canadian name in the space. That was ex-UFC welterweight GOAT Georges St-Pierre, who was on hand before the Belal Muhammad vs. Jack Della Maddalena PPV title affair.

UFC Hall of Famers Georges St-Pierre and Rory MacDonald were present on the podium for a UFC 315 PPV media Q&A during the ceremonial weigh-ins (staredowns), which shot off promptly after 5 p.m. ET at the Bell Centre. Belal Muhammad and first-time welterweight challenger Jack Della Maddalena now have the opportunity to get the belt wrapped around by St-Pierre himself, as ‘Rush’ mentioned on stage.

No, yeah ..[yeah; laughs] If… Of course…If, if..they want me to do it, I’ll do it. But, uh, …On Saturday — I am going to work as a cornerman. My priority is to be there for Aiemann Zahabi, and he has an incredible task ahead. Fighting Jose Aldo. So, if everything goes according to plan and we get the ‘W’ — and if they want me to do it — why not.

Former nine-time UFC 170-pound champ St-Pierre was the ‘it’ man of the division. After a four-year layoff, he returned to snag gold (middleweight) from Michael Bisping and called it quits. However, his welterweight legacy is still the ‘GOAL’ for many, including Belal Muhammad.

Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre is cornering Aiemann Zahabi against veteran Jose Aldo this weekend. This bantamweight bout pairing for the UFC 315 PPV main card has been catching quite some flak. It’s a given since Aldo is a big name, but only faced surging names Jonathan Martinez and Mario Bautista in his past outings.

However, Zahabi has taken in some sage advice from St-Pierre not to overvalue the ex-champ and fight a good fight. If they do log a win, St-Pierre is up to crown the PPV headliner winner with the undisputed gold. That’d be a good thing, given current conditions.

Can Someone ‘Remember The Name’? Montreal commissioner Surely Can’t During UFC 315 Weigh-ins

UFC 315 star Belal Muhammad just cannot catch a break. The Palestinian was all the rage after wining gold at the PPV July headliner at Co-op Live in Manchester. But some entities just consider Muhammad all that forgettable.

That included the Montreal’s athletic commissioner who weighed the UFC 170-pound champ, this Friday. While the champ was on point and made championship weight, it was the athletic commissioner who threw the matter out of a loop. He needed to confirm Muhammad’s name before he could step on to the scales! Check out the footage down below:

While an isolated PPV undercard fighter could make sense, he is the UFC 315 headliner. Belal Muhammad literally has had his face postered in every media package, all week long. While not the first time Muhmmad has faced these, this particular happenstance was weirdly mortifying.

Muhammad had gone through a who’s who of names like Gilbert BurnsStephen ThompsonVicente LuqueDemian Maia, and even Sean Brady (with Round-two TKO) to earn a title crack. Yet, many often dumbed him down and his efforts.

This is the hard render of the narrative that he lacks good appeal as a champ and a big PPV draw. However, come this weekend, he’d have a good chance to prove everyone wrong and keep his gold intact.
