Sources suggest the promotion is investing heavily in visuals, ceremonial elements, crowd experience, and historic branding to elevate the spectacle. The organization is also planning unique fighter walkouts, enhanced camera setups, commentary teams, and special storytelling segments for global audiences.
The main card for the White House event was recently announced, and Ilia Topuria will headline it against Justin Gaethje. In the co-main event, Alex Pereira takes on Ciryl Gane in a much-anticipated interim heavyweight championship bout. Other than this, Bo Nickal, Sean O’Malley, and Diego Lopes are some of the other known faces on the card.
However, fans shared mixed reactions to the card as they wanted big names such as Conor McGregor and Jon Jones. According to Dana White, neither of these big start were not even considered for the card. Nevertheless, following the disappointment of UFC 326 and announcement, the CEO is extremely motivated to bring fans the best possible action for the White House event.
Dana White comments on underwhelming UFC 326 main event
Last weekend at T-Mobile Arena, UFC 326 delivered a highly anticipated main event between Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway. The fight was contested for the symbolic BMF championship, a title popularized after the iconic showdown between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal in 2019.

Fans expected a violent striking battle, given Holloway’s relentless boxing style and Oliveira’s aggressive finishing instincts inside the octagon. However, Oliveira adopted a much safer tactical approach, repeatedly using grappling exchanges and positional control to neutralize Holloway’s dangerous striking attacks.
Most rounds began standing, but quickly transitioned to the canvas, where Oliveira maintained control and secured the unanimous decision victory. Several observers, including Conor McGregor and Diaz, criticized the bout publicly. Following the backlash, Dana White addressed the reaction and gave his candid thoughts about the disappointing main event.
I used to always have a guarantee that there were certain fights you saw that you’re like ‘It’s impossible for this not to be good’…And then the BMF title happened last week

Last year, two of the biggest fights, including Islam Makhachev vs. Jack Della Maddalena and Khamzat Chimaev vs. Dricus Du Plessis, received similar criticism. Wrestlers and grapplers using their ground game to dominate strikers without submitting or finishing them has rattled some fight fans. On the other hand, many experts always praise such fighters for their overall dominance for five rounds.
