Dana White believes Whittaker isn’t in line for the title shot says, “He needs one more fight to secure it”

The number one ranked UFC Middleweight fighter Robert ‘The Reaper’ Whittaker is coming back with two major wins against Darren Till and Jared Cannonier following his loss against Israel Adesanya in the fight in which he lost the UFC Middleweight title too.
Whittaker won the Middleweight title in the fight against Yoel Romero at UFC 213 and then again defended it against Romero at UFC 225. But with his latest win against Jared Cannonier, most of the people including Whittaker believe he’s in line for a title shot again.
The UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is moving to the Light Heavyweight division to challenge Jan Blachowicz for the title and it is uncertain that in which division he’ll compete further. That’s why fans are demanding at least an interim title shot for Whittaker.

But the UFC president Dana White doesn’t believe Whittaker deserves the title shot so soon. In his latest Q&A session with ESPN, White says, “Robert Whittaker will not get a title shot next, he needs one more fight to secure it”
Whittaker has two wins against the top 5 contenders in the Middleweight division and it is a little harsh for him to get one more win before getting the title shot.
Paulo Costa’s manager demands interim title match between Costa and Whittaker

Paulo Costa’s manager gives a solution to the future of the Middleweight division, he demands an interim title match between the number 1 and 2 ranked Middleweight fighters, i.e. Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa.
In his latest interview with MMA Fighting, Costa’s manager says, “This is the best fight for 185, the No. 1 against the No. 2, The winner… Borrachinha will win, and with that win, imagine how many pay-per-views a rematch with Adesanya would do. It’s a business.”
“It’s the best pay-per-view possible because Borrachinha and Adesanya really hate each other, but we can’t leave the division on hold. That’s why we have to make this for the interim belt.”
