From starting as a YouTuber, Jake Paul has successfully transformed into one of the biggest names in modern combat sports today. He’s also mastered the art of trash-talking and cleverly uses it as a powerful tool to promote his fights. As a result, Paul has clashed with several big names, including a long-standing public feud with UFC CEO Dana White.
Paul frequently clashed with White, accusing him of underpaying UFC fighters and exploiting their hard work for profits. Paul even labeled White a cocaine junkie, intensifying their heated public feud and sparking widespread attention from fans and media. In retaliation, White accused Paul of steroid use and recently addressed their feud during his appearance on the FULL SEND Podcast.
What happened was, Jake said that I snort cocaine, that I’m a coke head. So, my rebuttal to that was, I tell you what, you can test me, randomly, for the next five years for cocaine, if I can test you, randomly, for performance enhancing drugs the next two years. And I never got a response on that.

White claimed Paul initiated the feud, and he only responded after the situation escalated beyond his control and comfort. Previously, the UFC boss avoided mentioning Paul, believing any acknowledgment would unfairly boost Paul’s publicity and online presence. Meanwhile, ‘The Problem Child’ relentlessly mocked White and urged top UFC fighters to leave the organization for better pay and treatment elsewhere.

Jake Paul gained attention by defeating retired UFC stars like Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, and Tyron Woodley in boxing matches. These wins gave Paul leverage to mock the UFC further and question the legitimacy of its fighter pay and structure. He recently challenged Alex Pereira, but White refused, making it clear he won’t do business with Paul anytime.
After entering boxing, the younger Paul brother underwent a major body transformation, gaining noticeable muscle mass in a short period. This rapid change led critics to accuse him of steroid use, though Paul has consistently denied all such allegations publicly. Despite the controversy, these debates only fueled his fame and helped him become a mainstream boxing attraction and superstar.
Jake Paul credits former rival and wrestling legend Ben Askren
Ben Askren recently suffered a dangerous staph infection that evolved into pneumonia, landing him in a medically induced coma. During that critical period, his lung function declined rapidly, forcing doctors to perform a life-saving double lung transplant on June 24. After his insurance failed to cover the cost, the MMA community stepped in with overwhelming support to assist Askren’s treatment.

Askren revealed he died four times due to cardiac arrest, each time being revived after nearly twenty seconds of no pulse. Now weighing 147 pounds, he is focused on rebuilding strength and returning to coaching youth wrestling with renewed purpose and gratitude. Throughout the process, Paul had publicly shared his support and recently made a tweet, crediting Askren’s positive condition.
Shout out to Ben Askren. Just proved that he’s one of the toughest fighters of all time.

Askren was the first well-known UFC fighter to face Paul in a highly publicized crossover boxing match. Although Askren was a decorated wrestler, he was knocked out in the first round, shocking fans and critics worldwide. The win gave Paul massive credibility and helped kickstart his boxing career, drawing attention from fighters.
Paul used the moment to criticize White for not publicly supporting Askren during his life-threatening lung transplant battle. Many MMA veterans and fans have publicly wished the former Olympian a full recovery, praising his toughness and fighting spirit.
