UFC Vegas 121 main event ended abruptly when Raoni Barcelos collapsed in the fifth round, rendering him unable to continue. Raul Rosas Jr. became the default winner after Herb Dean waved off the fight. Dana White’s favorite content creator, Nina Drama, came under fire on X for her tweet.

The five round main event at the Meta Apex saw the Brazilian veteran almost cruise to victory till the medical emergency happened. Soon, he was transported to the hospital to check for head traumas. By this time, Nina Drama made a tweet praising Rosas Jr, which drew the ire of the MMA community.

Raul Rosas Jr. is a DOG! What a war! Beautiful striking, insane cardio! WOW! Congratulations

During first glance, the tweet praises the 21-year-old rising star. However, the tweet completely ignored Barcelos and what he had achieved during the bout before collapsing in the fifth round.

Barcelos landed more strikes and takedowns than Rosas Jr. If anything, Barcelos was the better striker as well, landing 127 significant strikes with 57 percent accuracy. Rosas Jr is known for his grappling skills. He was outclassed even in that aspect as he only had one takedown compared to Barcelos’ 9 takedowns.

The misleading aspect of the tweet made the MMA community target the content creator. Fans brought up that the tweet was tone deaf in nature as Raul Rosas Jr. was losing on the scorecards before the Brazilian fighter collapsed in the fifth round.

The fans pointed out that there was no further tweet wishing a speedy recovery for Barcelos. The replies to Nina Drama’s tweet went from normal replies to harsh ones with expletives involved.

After all, UFC Vegas 121 main event scared most people after the veteran collapsed out of nowhere. The reason for his medical injury remains unknown. Nevertheless, he has been doing well after getting the required care at the hospital.

The situation is looking better now. However, the 39-year-old veteran will need to be in the hospital till all the checkups are done to avoid a situation like this in the future.

Raoni Barcelos yesterday showed the essence of what it means to be a Brazilian fighter, a warrior. He left carried on his shield, but he left with all honor and all glory. Raoni Barcelos fills me with pride and hope in being Brazilian, not just in the fight. We have to make these Brazilians be an example for the young people.
