It has been raining hell on Arman Tsarukyan after the UFC 311 PPV. The lightweight top contender pulled out of his title matchup due to a last-minute back injury during the weigh-ins. As a result, Tsarukyan has seemingly lost momentum as top seed for UFC 155-pound gold. A lot of fans rallying behind him have also done a clear 180, resulting from his injury pullout. However, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is one of the few who gets what’s what, and he puts the pin on bossman Dana White.

After the UFC 311 PPV event headliner, White sent Tsarukyan to the drawing board. One that the Team ATT fighter has accepted. For a brief moment, it looked like “Ahalkalakets” would have to climb up top the hard way again. However, he has had a few call-ups going. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson understands the predicament well, given how he fell out with White and Co.

I fought injured and stuff before, …and I wished I’d have pulled out – One time I fought injured and I lost. And Dana White did a press conference like ‘Oh, I don’t think Ramage want it anymore’…I was like fu– k you talking about? I told you I was injured…As soon as I was injured I called Dana I told him, look…I’m injured, but I’m not pulling out. I’m still gonna fight…Even if they are [fans] saying bad sh*t – fu*k them…It’d hunt you for the rest of your life if you go out there…and not close to 100% and you got injured and try to fight and lose.

“Rampage” was already a big name when he seeped in from PRIDE and bagged the 205-pound belt off Chuck Liddell. And to hear Dana White tell it, Rampage has amassed more than $15 million in career earnings. But despite the surging buddy-ness and him being sweet for big pay-per-views, they soured it. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson often says the boss took a U-turn about him losing his drive after his meniscus tear.

It’s also the moment Jackson says he fell out with his UFC boss. As for Tsarukyan, the fighter is understandably devastated after withdrawing from his first UFC championship fight. It’s a fight five years in the making and a big opportunity. As for what made him pull out of the PPV title affair, Tsarukyan already added details on it.

Arman Tsarukyan divulges horrific ’20-hour’ discourse that led to UFC 311 title fight withdrawal

One day before his scheduled UFC 311 main event against Islam Makhachev, Tsarukyan shockingly withdrew due to a back injury. The UFC 311 PPV event saw Makhachev defend his title against Renato Moicano in a late-notice replacement bout. UFC CEO Dana White revealed that Tsarukyan won’t be getting the next crack. There were also active rumors from analysts that the hard stance on the 155-pound top contender was because the injury was in fact not to a severe degree.

Although White’s comments were a surprise to the UFC faithful, Tsarukyan agreed. Tsarukyan (23-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) was hoping to exact a measure of revenge and has strung a neat four-fight winning streak for it. But all in all, he’s ready to fight names like Charles Oliveira to gain back some of the momentum. However, his injury was as precarious as advertised on the tin. The 28-year-old has explained exactly what happened during the twenty-hour ordeal.

Wednesday I had my evening training session and after when I went to sleep I started to feel my lower back and I couldn’t sleep all night and I woke up, maybe I slept like, 30 minutes and I was feeling crazy pain in my lower back, …That [next] morning I didn’t train and we said we’re gonna wait until the evening and let’s see how my back is gonna feel…it was okay and I started to cut my weight…I went to sleep 6lbs over and I was going to [cut it] in the morning but I couldn’t sleep all night [again]… I couldn’t even move on my back and at 5 AM I called and said I couldn’t cut weight because I couldn’t move

The Armenian went on to explain that he was on his back, unable to move, for almost 20 hours. A doctor was on hand right before the official weigh-ins, and he had no choice but to pull out. For now, he treads on.

Oliveira was in a similar situation as Tsarukyan when he pulled out of his UFC 294 fight with Makhachev. As a result, he lost his title shot. With “Do Bronx” logging a win over Michael Chandler since his UFC 300 loss to Tsaruykan, he may need another of his own before a shot.
