Conor McGregor was set to make his highly anticipated UFC return earlier this year at UFC 303, but an injury forced him to withdraw from the event. Since then, no official date has been confirmed for his comeback. However, Dana White remains optimistic, suggesting that McGregor’s return is imminent.
McGregor now has two fights left on his UFC contract, and he hoped to complete one by 2024. However, the UFC failed to come up with a matchup, prompting the ‘Notorious’ to consider other options like boxing. Regardless of this uncertainty, in a recent interview, White confirmed that McGregor will return in 2025.
Since his last fight, Conor McGregor has established himself as a proper businessman. From co-owning BKFC to starring in a Hollywood movie, McGregor’s new ventures have kept him and his bank account busy. White stated that all this money has made it harder for McGregor to focus on his training camp and make his return.

White recently approved McGregor’s proposed fight against Dan Hooker in early 2025. However, McGregor’s frequent social media rants and ongoing feuds with other fighters have created confusion among fans. While entertaining, these online antics raise concerns about his commitment to a serious return to the UFC.

McGregor has also consistently insulted Nurmagomedov and his team at every opportunity. He has accused the ‘Eagle’ of being a terrorist and fleeing his home country. While these events keep fans excited, it’s McGregor’s return to the Octagon that they eagerly anticipate the most.
