Australia has always been the home of some wild energy when it comes to MMA fans. Over the years, the promotion of Dana White has received a great response from the fans every time. However, this time, UFC middleweight contender Sean Strickland has started beef with the whole country before the Sydney fight card.
Sean Strickland has always been the loudmouth who doesn’t care about being unhinged. During the UFC 312 media day, ‘Tarzan’ went on a wild tirade mocking Australia’s government and policies. In response, the Aussie media released a headline on The Daily Telegraph directed towards the American fighter. White couldn’t believe such a response and made fun of the media.
Australia news paper lol.

In the new post, the column labeled Strickland as the ‘UFC’s Biggest Imbecile’ and hoped that someone would knock out the fighter. Strickland had questioned the country’s freedom and speech and a response like this from the media proved his point. His comments on gun laws, referencing the Port Arthur Massacre, also must have ruffled some feathers.

Strickland doesn’t care about the consequences, and he has said some things about other countries. The last time ‘Tarzan’ was in Canada, he mocked the government and accused the judges of robbing him. He has even called out South Africa for being a poverty-stricken and racist country. All these comments have just brought him more attention which has benefited him.

The last time Sean Strickland was in Australia, he won the middleweight championship by defeating Israel Adesanya via unanimous decision. It was a dominant win and the Sydney crowd loved his performance against a legend like Izzy. This time, the American fighter is back again to capture the belt and all this noise doesn’t really affect him.

Strickland maintained the same energy during the press conference, and continued his trash-talking with Dricus Du Plessis. The spirits were high and he also reacted to the Australian news post. The former champion brutally roasted the country in the most unapologetic way.
Bunch of communists here guys. I come to this f**** country, and I talk about freedom of speech, guns, and taxes and you got these f***** communists in the media trying to f***** put me down. Why? Cause you like to control the media and you don’t like freedom of speech?

Nevertheless, ‘Tarzan’ is currently more focused on the title fight and remains focused to get back the belt from DDP. The South African, on the other hand, is unbothered and believes in his ability to beat the contender. It will be interesting to see whether Strickland leaves Australia with a happy face or disappointment.
