Celebrations may usually come in all shapes and sizes. For UFC CEO Dana White, it usually comes with a successful pay-per-view card or a good dip in blackjack. For MMA columnist and content reporter Robbie Fox, it comes in the form of a wedding. It could also come in the form of the UFC head honcho forking him an extra $20,000 for his wedding!

White’s philanthropic trends are already famous; as are the spending habits of the avid gambler. A Sphere-crazed, who ponied up $20m in pre-production was out enjoying UFC 306 pay-per-view weekend. Double-branded as the annual Riyadh Season Noche, White attended quite a few media rounds; he even sat down with Barstool Sports’ Robbie Fox (@RobbieBarstool) on Friday to discuss the return of one Conor McGregor.

So, I told him, so he just engaged, got engaged to his girlfriend, and so he was like, ‘All the Barstool guys with money, you know’ all this sh*t. And I said, ‘Well, how much is your wedding?’ He’s like, ‘I don’t know’. ‘How many people for your wedding?’ ‘We don’t know yet.’ I said, ‘I’m gonna pay for your fu*king wedding, tonight. Come...[Later, handing chips] Robbie, here's $20k for your wedding...

But that isn’t where it would end. Celebrating the historic Noche week, White, along with ex-NFL fame Taylor Lewan and SteveWillDoIt of the NELK Boys, played some high-stakes Baccarat. He even went viral at the Red Rock Casino. Lewan – one half and co-host of ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ Podcast and a close friend, says White was in the hole for $2.3M! Yet in the end, he paid Fox $20K in chips for his wedding.

No wonder Fox was stunned by this deed. White’s generosity went beyond anything, helping bound him in a gimmicky pact to become the best Power Slap reporter. Robbie Fox maintains an amiable friendship with White; he even once did a tour of the UFC LV HQ, post-COVID times. The ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ Podcast also sponsors Barstool Sports’ merchandise. As such, the act has gone quite viral.

Fight fans give scathing take on Dana White’s gift

After the events of the Riyadh Season Noche UFC, Dana White made a return to the gambling table. No worries, this is a proud Palms Casino Undisputed Blackjack Championship Belt winner after all. The UFC bossman is infamous for his exploits on the Vegas Strip. Unlike others though, it’s business as usual for the 55-year-old.

White is never flabbergasted at the mechanics or the pitfalls of the game. That is because he usually wins it back just as efficiently. The 55-year-old has a huge bankroll from playing blackjack. On one occasion, it lost around $6 million. For a mundane; that’s a life-or-death amount. White once told Lex Fridman that he once lost 80,000 but woke up to find it was nearly $3m!

However, he always makes it back from the sinkhole. But there was a hitch. Someone was getting hitched. While White was still in the hole, he generously paid for Fox’s upcoming nuptials.

Some have accordingly lauded the idea of their kinship and to have White as their wedding sponsor. However, others alluded to the notion that this breaks any credibility Robbie Fox would further have if he extended their association by accepting money.

Meanwhile, others have even posted about White doing $20k handovers when undercard fighters get less for bleeding their souls out. Here’s what the MMA community thinks of that:

Even prize fighters have also scuffled with him on issues of fighter compensation and PPV points. It’s only recently that the set-in-stone $50k bonuses saw a theme change. All in all, there are bound to be some hot takes on the matter.
