This Saturday, Noche UFC will take place at the iconic Las Vegas Sphere. The hype around the event is impressive in what is expected to be the greatest live sporting event of all time. With over $20 million on the line, Dana White is confident and has given some exciting updates about the event.
In order to provide fight fans with a show to remember, Dana White has left no stone unturned. White has talked about showing a movie in between the fights for which he has asked for top-tier collaborators. Oscar-nominated producer Carlos Lopez Estrada and director Glenn Weiss are some big names included in the project. Other than that, White has planned a unique scavenger hunt for fans with a grand prize.
There are also going to be Easter eggs in each one of these films. We’re working it out with legal right now, but what I want to do, if somebody can find all the Easter eggs, I’ll give you $25,000Dana White via Contender Series presser
In addition to confirming the Easter eggs, White said that this unique scavenger hunt will only be held on the main card. The whole performance will travel from “the beginning of time” to “the future,”. All the while maintaining the essence White envisioned from the start: to be a love letter to Mexico.
The inspiration for this grand event started when White saw the U2 performance and was in awe of the cutting-edge technology. White envisioned a combat sports event and initially kept it hidden from his employees. However, the promotion has worked a lot on this event over the last year. As such, they will hope to reap the results this Saturday.
Dana White on achieving the biggest gate in promotion’s history at Noche UFC
In Noche UFC’s main event, bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley will defend his title against Merab Dvalishvili. Similarly, Mexican champion Alexa Grasso will also fight against Valentina Shevchenko in the co-main event. The fight card is stacked from top to bottom with Mexican fighters to celebrate the auspicious Mexican Independence Day.

Going into fight night there was some criticism regarding the ticket sales and vacant seats. Many assumed that the fights weren’t that impressive to draw the attraction. However, Dana White has slammed those claims and mentioned that everything is going according to plan.
It's a big deal. Especially on a fight like this. I love to break records. This is going to be the biggest gate we have ever done in the history of the company and the most pre-buys on pay-per-view too.Dana White via Contender Series presser
Previously, the biggest live gate was believed to be UFC 205, which took in nearly $18 million. Unsurprisingly, Noche UFC has the potential to determine a huge 1.5 billion TV deal which White is looking forward to. With a lot riding on the stakes, it will be interesting to see how things turn out this weekend.
