Conor McGregor’s last UFC appearance came over four years ago at UFC 264, where he faced longtime rival Dustin Poirier. In that fight, McGregor suffered a devastating leg break, forcing him to step away from competition and focus on outside ventures. However, recent developments have shown promising signs, sparking optimism among fans about the possibility of his long-awaited comeback.
Recently, a popular X account UFC Roster Tracker claimed that McGregor was removed from the official UFC roster. As expected, the post quickly went viral across social media platforms, with supporters flooding comment sections and demanding immediate clarification from the UFC. Following the buzz, UFC CEO Dana White dismissed the claim in his typical style.

McGregor recently grabbed headlines after re-entering the UFC testing pool, showing his determination to compete at the White House event. The highly anticipated event is scheduled for July 4th next year and will be broadcast live on CBS. On the fighter removal subject, popular MMA journalist Ariel Helwani affirmed the good news on his social media post.
Conor McGregor HAS NOT parted ways the UFC. Both @TheNotoriousMMA and his team confirmed this to me. He also confirmed he is back in the pool, has submitted tests and all have come back clean. “It’s all systems a go,” he said.

In a recent interview, the UFC CEO expressed full confidence in McGregor’s commitment and readiness to make a successful comeback. Despite his antics and numerous controversies, Dana White still enjoys working with Conor McGregor and trusts him more than fighters like Jon Jones. However, many fans remain doubtful about the ‘Notorious’ truly committing to a proper fight camp.
Over the past week, ‘Mystic Mac’ has posted several training clips, showcasing intense sparring sessions with his teammates. However, with age catching up, the veteran has clearly lost some of his trademark speed and sharpness that once defined him. As expected, social media users roasted him in the comments, and it will be interesting to see changes in the coming eleven months.
Dana White predicts the Fight of the Night for UFC 319
UFC 319 is headlined by middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis defending his title against undefeated contender Khamzat Chimaev in Chicago. The promotion is days away from holding a fight event in Chicago after 2019.
The card includes Aaron Pico’s featherweight debut versus Lerone Murphy, Geoff Neal battling Carlos Prates, and Jared Cannonier facing Michael Page. Also featured is Tim Elliott meeting Kai Asakura at flyweight, providing fans with a stacked lineup across multiple exciting weight divisions.

With Du Plessis’ reign now being directly challenged by Chimaev’s unstoppable rise, UFC’s Chicago return has created immense hype. Going into the bout, DDP is clearly the underdog while Chimaev remains fully confident about capturing the middleweight title. Expecting a brutal war between the two fighters, UFC CEO Dana White spoke at length about the main event.
It is hard to not talk about this main event. Khamzat Chimaev is back, actually fighting in the United States. That fight is gonna be bada**. There is no way that the main event is not the Fight of the Night. The card is gonna be bada**…but with all the great undercard fights, I would still say it’s impossible for the main event not to be the Fight of the Night.

Chimaev is undefeated in his professional career and has almost dominated most of his opponents in the past. The Chechen superstar is well known for his initial storm, which Du Plessis will have to defend in order to survive. In the long run, however, the South African’s cardio and durability might be beneficial for the champion.
