Dana White has helped transform the UFC from a struggling promotion into one of combat sports’ biggest organizations. As UFC president and CEO, he has overseen major media deals, international expansion, and landmark events. The UFC was valued at approximately $12.1 billion when Endeavor merged it with WWE in 2023.
The UFC recently staged UFC Freedom 250 on the White House South Lawn, creating one of the promotion’s most historic events. The June 14 card marked the first professional sporting event held at the White House. The event reached an estimated 34 million viewers globally, making it a major success for the promotion.
White has teased another major UFC event while working with Chief Content Officer Craig Borsari on the project. Borsari developed the idea, with White confirming the promotion is doing further groundwork. White revealed the event will take place somewhere in America and mentioned Mount Rushmore as a location he would love.
What would make sense is that I love that area. I go to Sturgis as many times as I can when it’s happening. I couldn’t go this year, but I do love that town.

The UFC has clear reason to keep experimenting after UFC Freedom 250 delivered 34 million global viewers. The event also averaged 8.2 million viewers across the US and Latin America on Paramount+. However, TKO reported the White House event cost roughly $60 million and produced a $30 million loss.
However, UFC 306 at Las Vegas’ Sphere set the benchmark for the promotion’s unique arenas and major events. The September 2024 event was the first live sporting event held at Sphere and cost more than $20 million. It attracted 16,024 attendees and generated a record $22 million gate, becoming the highest-grossing UFC event ever at that time.
The UFC also had a major opportunity to stage an event at Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu during Ilia Topuria’s featherweight reign. White expressed confidence in the possibility after ‘El Matador’ became champion in 2024. The stadium has been Spanish football giants Real Madrid’s home since 1947, giving the UFC a major venue for a potential Spanish event.
However, the Santiago Bernabéu plan never materialized after White highlighted security concerns surrounding the venue. Topuria is also no longer champion after losing to Justin Gaethje at UFC Freedom 250. That weakens the case for a numbered event there, meaning a future Spain stadium card could instead be a Fight Night.
Historical sites create major logistical challenges beyond staging a normal UFC event. UFC Freedom 250 faced security concerns, weather, gnats, and humidity around the White House. For Dana White, another historic American venue could be easier after navigating those challenges at one of America’s most important landmarks.
Dana White remains unfazed by promotional rival signing current UFC stars on commercial deals
Dana White and Eddie Hearn have clashed over their competing visions for boxing through UFC and Zuffa Boxing. Their rivalry escalated when White signed Matchroom welterweight Conor Benn to a reported $15 million, one-fight deal. Benn later extended his Zuffa partnership, turning the initial agreement into a multi-fight deal.
Hearn responded by signing UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall to Matchroom’s talent agency under a commercial contract. He later added another UFC star, signing Ian Garry to Matchroom’s promotional roster. Garry’s management remains with Vayner Sports, keeping his representation separate from Hearn’s promotional role.

Their rivalry had cooled before reigniting when Hearn urged the UFC to release Aspinall. Hearn said Aspinall could find better financial opportunities elsewhere.
White dismissed the idea and questioned whether Hearn would release Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez. He has now addressed whether Hearn’s involvement creates problems with UFC fighters.
Not at all. Ian Garry is too. He just fought Islam. Eddie’s job is to get his guy a bunch of money and sell the fight. Eddie Hearn has done everything he can to hurt this fight. I saw an interview with Frank Warren yesterday. Frank Warren is a real guy. Everything he said I agreed with…And Eddie Hearn is the exact opposite of Frank Warren.

The two combat sports promoters remain connected through another major boxing storyline involving Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. The British heavyweights are set to meet in late 2026, with Netflix carrying the fight. Turki Alalshikh is backing the event, while Dana White and Eddie Hearn have disagreed over promotional involvement.
