There’s this standing sentiment for casinos (and antagonistic institutions in flicks) that the house or ‘bank’ always wins. Not if one has UFC CEO Dana White in tow. 2016-18 Pro Bowls NFL fame/ ex-Tennessee Titans offensive tackle and current free agent Taylor Lewan is an avid gambler himself. He is a good gambler, but his association with White has reinforced the ‘undisputed’ status even more.
Along with SteveWillDoIt of the NELK Boys, Taylor Lewan, and the group are good friends with White. The duo once won from $10,000 to $530,000 last year to clear Dana White’s marker at a casino. Lewan winning $40,000 in 10 minutes with the 55-year maverick also went viral once. During a recent sitdown with Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer, White revealed how he helped Lewan never bow to the house.
You know Taylor Lewan, right? …Taylor Lewan started gambling with me probably around Power Slap 1…which was almost two years ago. [Under breath] He's never fu*king lost. He's up [like] gotta be $2 million now…He's never lost. The only time he has lost when he plays fu*king without me...meaning he's up 2 fu*king million right...he's never ever paid the casino ever, in his entire fu*king career.Dana White on ‘2 Bears, 1 Cave’ Show with Tom Segura & Bert Kreischer at YMH Studios
The serial gambler/UFC bossman is not afraid to help his friends out. White once helped SteveWillDoIt recover from a $300,000 loss at a casino. On other occasions, they recover quite well themselves.
Deleonardis and Lewan once had $10,000 standing to the house, betting on slot machines. It turns out the duo managed to make a surplus of $43,000! However, with gambling expert White, the trio is basically ‘Oceans Eleven-ing‘ their way out of the toughest casinos. The story doesn’t end there.
His $250,000 gift in cash to Nelk Boys’ Kyle Forgeard came under fire when he couldn’t pony up fighter compensation. Deleonardis also presented an estimated $300,000 for a custom Maybach van to White. However, some stories are just born out of a spirit of wild gambling and big windfall among friends. Consequently, White and Lewan have had many of those.
UFC CEO Dana White told hilarious story of Taylor Lewan’s wild Vegas night
Dana White has famously gambled in the Las Vegas Strip to this day. UFC color commentator and veteran podcaster Joe Rogan once deliberated on his excessive gambling traits, which cost him some $60k in the hole. Exercising his insatiable hunger in Las Vegas during his son’s 21st birthday instead of attending the UFC 275 PPV was headline-grabbing.
The UFC head honcho sinning in “Sin City” and not having his priorities straight has often come under fire. Sometimes, those have produced viral winning moments and quirky stories, too. Much of White’s gambling exploits contain Taylor Lewan – one half and co-host of ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ Podcast. Just two days ago, the duo went viral for a high stakes Baccarat at the Red Rock Casino.
Midway through last year, Lewan and Will Compton joined White for a round of blackjack. According to Dana White, Lewan’s night began by losing $60,000 but didn’t end there.
We go down last night, ...Taylor puts up 30,000. The first hand, he gets an 11. He doubles for 60,000. If he wins the hand, it's a $120,000 hand. He loses it. ... He's looking sick, and ... he ends up he's down to $130,000, and we flip it and he comes all the way back and he walks away with $67,000!Dana White during ‘The Pat McAfee’ Show Live (@PatMcAfeeShow)
For most people, the idea of hedging $30,000 on a single hand of blackjack is beyond belief. Nevertheless, that is exactly what Lewan did. Then, losing $60,000 in the first round would send most packing, but Taylor Lewan stuck with it and walked away with a $67,000 win.
White and his friends are perfect poster children of “Bet big, win big.” Not all gambling experiences end like this, but Lewan could dust off, bounce back, and win the night. The UFC boss has been a big part of that sometimes, and vice versa.
