Dana White has always been a huge boxing fan, following the sport closely for many years with deep interest. Before joining the UFC, White was involved in boxing management, working with fighters and learning the sport from the inside. During that period, he closely followed boxing, understanding its structure, stars, and the realities surrounding the business side.
Apart from loving boxing, White is a promoter at heart and has consistently focused on money, promotion, and financial growth. In a recent interview, the UFC CEO spoke about his boxing Mount Rushmore, sharing admiration for legends who defined the sport.
I look at things froma different perspective. I look at the business side of it too. So, Muhammad Ali is my number one. Number two is Sugar Ray Robinson. My number three is Floyd Mayweather and my number four is Mike Tyson.

Muhammad Ali is widely regarded as the greatest boxer ever, combining unmatched skill, charisma, and cultural impact inside and outside boxing. Ali was a true showman, selling fights with words and personality, headlining historic closed-circuit pay-per-view events worldwide during boxing’s golden era.

His biggest spectacles included fights against Joe Frazier and George Foreman, drawing record-breaking gates and unprecedented commercial success. Dana White found his Muhammad Ali in Conor McGregor, a revolutionary fighter who transformed UFC through charisma and trash-talking.
‘The Notorious’ sold millions of pay-per-views and became central to the UFC’s explosive global success. White admires McGregor, crediting him for UFC growth, and is excited about ‘Mystic Mac’ returning at the UFC White House event.
Apart from that, Dana White has been a huge fan of Mike Tyson, keeping his championship belts displayed inside his office. White believes that in his prime, Tyson could defeat any heavyweight boxer placed in front of him in boxing history. However, he chose Jon Jones over Tyson when asked to name the baddest man in history across combat sports ever.
As for Floyd Mayweather, White already did business with the ‘Money’ during the crossover bout against Conor McGregor. The fight became the second most-grossing event ever, with trash talking and non-stop drama reaching incredible heights worldwide globally. All of this ultimately helped White gain confidence and momentum while making his long-awaited move into boxing promotion.
Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing is targeting a Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua
Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing officially debuted with the monumental Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford super-fight on September 13, 2025. Crawford stunned Alvarez, winning by unanimous decision, to become the first male boxer to be undisputed in three divisions in modern history.

The bout generated a record crowd of 70,482 and more than $47.2 million in live gate revenue, placing it among boxing’s top three highest-grossing events. Alvarez reportedly earned around $100 million+, while Crawford’s payout was approximately $10-50 million, reflecting massive commercial success. Following that, White has some new ideas for this boxing promotion, which also includes a potential heavyweight clash between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have shared a long-standing rivalry, trading words for years without ever finalizing a fight. Joshua recently defeated Jake Paul, reportedly earning around $90 million, before suffering an unfortunate, life-altering accident afterward.
Fortunately, Joshua has recovered well from the incident and is expected to make his long-awaited return to boxing soon. Meanwhile, Fury has come out of retirement and is expected to face Aslanbek Makhmudov in a high-profile heavyweight clash. That fight may require collaboration between Dana White and Eddie Hearn, despite their ongoing public feud.
