“I don’t know if she’s ready,” Dana White talks about signing Kayla Harrison for UFC
Kayla Harrison and Dana White
The two times Judo Olympic medalist and one-time PFL women’s lightweight champion Kayla Harrison is one of the top talents outside UFC. She opened this session of PFL with a dominating victory and talks about her dream match against UFC two-division champion Amanda Nunes.
After her victory, Kayla Harrison says, “My goal is to be the greatest of all-time, she is currently the greatest of all-time. The biggest compliment I could give to Amanda is I hope to fight her one day.”
“That’s the best compliment I could give her because that means she’s the GOAT. She’s what we’re all chasing.” {H/T MMA Junkie}
Harrison’s PFL contract will expire at the end of this season of PFL and she made her debut in the Featherweight category which is a weight class of the UFC women’s division.
Dana White reveals he can sign Kayla Harrison
In his latest interview with Aaron Bronsteter, Dana White revealed that the time may not be far that Kayla Harrison can be seen fighting for UFC. White says, “I don’t know if she’s ready, I mean, when she feels like she’s ready, I’m always looking for the best possible people to come in and fight.”
“If you don’t think that’s we’ve offered her to come over – I just don’t know if her people think she’s ready yet. It’s a whole other level when you get here.” {H/T MMA Junkie}
Harrison holds a record of 9-0 in her MMA career with seven of her victories coming by a stoppage. It won’t be very tough for Dana White to neglect a talent like her but he believes her management team Dominance MMA could be slow playing her career.
White added, “Holly (Holm), Germaine (de Randamie), Aspen Ladd … Julianna Pena – the list goes on and on, it’s a lot tougher when you come over here. I don’t know if they think she’s ready or not, but we’ll find out.” {H/T MMA Junkie}
