This incident sparked outrage within the UFC community and among netizens, who expressed their anger towards the airline. Recently, UFC CEO Dana White criticized the situation for the second time.

Amid the criticisms, White noted that even the renowned news outlet, the Wall Street Journal, ranked Frontier Airlines as one of the worst airlines in 2024. Interestingly, this assessment mirrored the sentiments of many notable figures in the UFC community. Consequently, the UFC CEO didn’t shy away from criticizing the US airlines further for their remarks about UFC legend Nurmagomedov.

White was previously quite displeased with Nurmagomedov for choosing to fly with Frontier Airlines in the very first place. Interestingly, the UFC legend stated that he found the flight attendants rude and accused them of discrimination. However, in contrast to Nurmagomedov’s claims, Frontier Airlines revealed that he did not comply with the protocol questions asked of passengers seated in the exit row.

In a detailed video shared on his YouTube channel, Sonnen expressed his support for the airline’s statement regarding the incident, offering insights that highlighted his perspective on the situation.
That person must verbally and physically acknowledge with a ‘yes.’ I’ve been in the emergency row enough times to hear this entire speech … As annoying as it is, a hero like Khabib being removed without him being aggressive doesn’t matter, because it is a consistent rule.

Sonnen pointed out that Nurmagomedov should have simply acknowledged the flight attendant’s questions. If he had done that, the entire incident could have been avoided.
