Power Slap is undoubtedly Dana White‘s biggest venture outside of the UFC. The controversial sport has attracted mixed reaction from combat sports fan base. White has frequently promoted it over the last few years with all his resources. White believed that the PSL will be bigger than UFC, but it doesn’t seem to be going in that path.
Recently, White announced that his slap fighting promotion will move from Rumble to streaming free on YouTube. According to White, they have made a new deal with VeChain to be the new title partner for Power Slap. This news has taken the MMA community by storm, who didn’t shy away from roasting White for his previous comments.
White being a marketing expert has frequently promoted Power Slap with huge exaggeration. He once mentioned that the PSL has more followers than the biggest soccer teams such as the Spanish giant, Real Madrid. White has spouted absurd numbers to justify the valuation of PSL.

But I thought power slap was bigger than real Madrid? If it was so big why would it be on YouTube. 😂😂😂 https://t.co/GczMqJePvJ

White has talked about how Power Slap has more sponsors than UFC in its early years and is worth a whopping $750 million. He has even held several events where he called top celebrities and social media influencers to promote his venture. However, it seems like it didn’t work out as he expected.
Dana White’s new Power Slap deal with VeChain
During the Covid times, Dana White was watching slap fighting on the internet and thought of making it a mainstream sport. He created a UFC like system with weight classes and got all the permissions to make it official. However, the PSL often received criticism for his brutality and lack of safety as a sport but nothing metered to the head honcho.

According to White, the sport has a potential of athletes getting injured and PSL is no different. The reaction towards the league from UFC fighters has always been mixed with some liking and others thrashing the initiative. However, the new deal between White and VeChain is definitely a step backwards.

According to Forbes, VeChain will reportedly pay $76 million over the next six years to serve as the title sponsor for Power Slap. This figure is significantly less in comparison to the previous Rumble’s $30 million per year deal. White may seem excited about the announcement that the MMA community is well aware of the whole situation.
