Dana White is undoubtedly the driving force behind the meteoric rise of the UFC. Over two decades, he transformed the organization from the brink of bankruptcy into the world’s premier MMA promotion, achieving a multi-billion dollar valuation. Now, White aims to replicate that extraordinary success with Power Slap, showcasing his unparalleled ability to build combat sports.
White’s brainchild, the Power Slap League, has been controversial since it was established. The mainstream media and other experts didn’t like the brutality of the sport, and wanted it to end. Irrespective of all the criticism and negativity, the UFC boss didn’t back out, and now he’s reaping the success.
Recently, popular media house Forbes has estimated that the Power Slap League has earned over $50 million in revenue in 2024. According to White, Power Slap has more sponsors now than UFC was able to achieve in its first ten years. The reports suggest that PFL makes approximately $2 million per event and more from other revenue sources.

White never cared about the criticism and was seen slamming these experts and their opinions in interviews. He believed that injuries are common in any sport, not just in Power Slap. He once mentioned that PSL has the potential to beat UFC and it’s definitely on the correct trajectory.

However, White’s vision and determination never wavered. He secured a breakthrough deal with Spike TV for The Ultimate Fighter reality series in 2005, which became a cultural phenomenon. It introduced the UFC to a broader audience, propelling the UFC into mainstream success.
You have to have vision. You gotta be able to get out there and grind…..When we bought the company, it wasn’t allowed on pay-per-view and our goal was to get it under free television.
