A few hours ago, the UFC Apex hosted another exciting UFC fight night featuring a lineup of talented fighters. The main event showcased promising prospect Manel Kape facing off against Asu Almabayev. Additionally, the aftermath of the event generated considerable buzz within the UFC community. As such, it potentially hinted at Alexandre Pantoja’s return fight.
UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja was invited to participate in the post-fight show for UFC Vegas 103. The host wanted to get Pantoja’s reaction to Manel Kape’s main event finish against Asu Almabayev. However, the segment inadvertently revealed a significant leak regarding an upcoming UFC PPV (pay-per-view) card.
As noted by the X account Championship Rounds, the UFC displayed a ‘UFC 316’ graphic alongside Pantoja’s name during his appearance on ESPN MMA. Although the graphic was taken down after the broadcast, it had already caught the attention of viewers before its removal. There are rumors that UFC 316 is set to occur in Newark, New Jersey, on June 7th at the Prudential Center.

Interestingly, UFC CEO Dana White has a knack for keeping the details of fight cards under wraps for a while. With that, the UFC CEO tries to create suspense and anticipation, especially around UFC pay-per-view events. Notably, this isn’t the first time the promotion has faced such a blunder. However, with Pantoja linked to the UFC 316 fight card, the buzz quickly went viral among netizens.

In addition to Manel Kape, another potential opponent for Alexandre Pantoja is Kai Kara-France. Furthermore, a bantamweight clash between Julianna Pena and Kayla Harrison is rumored to be part of the UFC 316 card. Apart from that, there aren’t many details available about the UFC 316 pay-per-view event at this time.

Interestingly, all of these fighters have gained less popularity compared to other standout UFC competitors. Regarding Pantoja, the UFC flyweight champion has even faced criticism in the past for not being an exciting fighter. As a result, most of the reactions from fans centered around this particular issue with Pantoja. Below are some of those reactions.
Pantoja boring as hell.

I hate people that don’t promote fights

Pantoja should be stripped from the title because he has no personality.

Despite the negative reputation surrounding Pantoja, he performed exceptionally well in his last fight. At UFC 310, the UFC flyweight champion defended his title against Kai Asakura in a dominating manner. It will be interesting to see who Pantoja faces in his next outing.
