The NBA has a very bright future ahead and will be in very good hands for the coming future. Currently the league is filled with great superstar talents throughout. One of the future stars of the league, Victor Wembanyama has just completed one of NBA’s best rookie seasons and has grabbed the attention of many NBA fans in the process.
Recently on the “Run your Race” podcast, Los Angeles Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell was talking about Wembanyama and his impressive rookie season. Russell was praising Wemby for his dominance and insisted that the younster should have won almost every major NBA award.

He even claimed that Victor Wembanyama was snubbed for the Defensive player of the year award, which was eventually won by Rudy Gobert. Russell felt that Wemby should have won other NBA honors like most improved player and All-NBA team.
The San Antonio Spurs rookie averaged 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists and a league leading 3.9 blocks per game. Wemby deservedly won the Rookie of the Year for his phenomenal season and was also selected for the All-NBA defensive first team.
The San Antonio Spurs had drafted superstars like Tim Duncan and David Robinson as the first overall picks in the past. Wembanyama seems to be certainly following the footsteps of Duncan and Robinson and help the Spurs win multiple championships. He will also be joined by NBA veteran Chris Paul in the coming season.
Victor Wembanyama saves France in OT game against Japan
Recently France had a close and intense matchup with Japan as both teams are part of the Group C in the Paris Olympics. Eventually the game went into overtime which resulted in France coming on top and beating Japan with the final score of 94-90.
Of course, it was the young French superstar Victor Wembanyama who showed up when his team needed him the most. Wemby scored the eight of his 18 points in the overtime which helped France in securing the win. The young star proved to be clutch and was great on offensive as well as the defensive end of the court.
With the victory over Japan, France stay undefeated in the Group C with a 2-0 record. France have managed to reach the quarterfinals and now will be facing tough teams like Canada, Germany and USA.
