Real Madrid full-back Dani Carvajal, in a recent interview, admitted that he would never feature for any other club in all of Europe, out of respect for the Los Blancos. The 32-year-old veteran right-back is soon expected to sign a new contract at the Bernabeu. 

A Real Madrid academy graduate, Carvajal is among the few players to have kept his place in the squad for the past few years. The right-back joined Real Madrid in 2013, after a brief stint in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen. Now the vice-captain of the side, his contract is set to expire at the end of season, following which it remains to be seen what comes ahead for the experienced full-back.

Having won around 27 trophies with the Los Blancos, which include four La Liga, six UCL and five club World Cup titles, he most recently exclaimed that he would not play for any other club in Europe, in case he departs next summer out of respect for Madrid. Moreover, he stated his desire to extend his contract beyond 2025 at his boyhood club. Additionally, the Spaniard expressed contentment with his recent Ballon d’Or nomination, while hoping to enjoy the gala event in October this year.

Regarded as one of the finest right-backs of the generation, Carvajal is among the many Real Madrid stars in the race to win the Ballon d’Or this season. He had an unforgettable 2023-24 season, winning the La Liga and UCL with Real Madrid, and the 2024 Euro with Spain.

Having emerged through the ranks of the Los Blancos academy, Dani Carvajal has established his name as one of the foremost full-backs in the last 11 years in the La Liga. Now in the final year of his contract, the 32-year-old now needs to think of his future at Real Madrid.

The Spaniard right-back had previously stated his intention to not continue in Europe, in case he departs the Bernabeu. When asked about whether he would consider moving to the US, Saudi or Qatar, he agreed on its possibility and stated that it would be among the three options.

The MLS has emerged as a possible destination, with Inter Miami interested in signing Carvajal in 2025. He would then be reunited with former Barcelona stars, Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez.
