FC Barcelona brought in Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig after a successful Euros with Spain. The former Barcelona and La Masia talent made his return back ‘home’ after the club made the decision to pay €60 million to the German club a few weeks ago. Despite facing difficulties in registering the player, his inclusion to the squad against Rayo Vallecano was justified with a late winner.

Barcelona found themselves trailing to the hosts on Tuesday night when Unai Lopez put his side in front in the 9th minute. However, after pulling level at the hour mark, up stepped Dani Olmo to announce himself to the away fans. In a moment of brilliance, the 26-year-old curled his shot past the opposition keeper with his left foot.

Besides the goal, Olmo managed to completely change the flow of the game after coming on instead of Ferran Torres in the second half. He also unleashed a powerful strike from well outside the box, but saw it agonizingly hit the woodwork and go out of play.

Barca fans reminded their rivals how Kylian Mbappe is yet to score in La Liga, while a man who was registered hours ago had more goals than the Frenchman. Besides Olmo, fans praised Hansi Flick and his style of play. The fact that Flick was forced to operate with several youngsters, that too with many injuries in the squad and still won all three of his games deserved applause.
