Dani Olmo is a man on fire at the moment. The 26-year-old RB Leipzig forward is on three goals at UEFA Euro 2024 and stands a big chance of winning the Golden Boot in Germany. Only Harry Kane has as many goals as the Spaniard and either player will look to bring glory to their nation on the 14th of July. Ahead of the final, Olmo made a cold claim that he intends to not give Kane an opportunity to lift his first professional trophy.
Both Harry Kane and Dani Olmo have scored three goals at the Euros. With either player scoring in the semi-final, the result of the game remains on a knife-edge for now. Olmo’s emphatic finish gave Spain the lead over France while Kane’s perfectly placed penalty opened the scoring for England.

Kane will definitely remember Olmo for being the man who denied him his first professional trophy with Bayern Munich. Back in August, Olmo scored a stunning hat-trick to deny Kane and Bayern the DFL-Supercup at Allianz Arena.
He made no effort to conceal his excitement of doing the same in the final to deny Kane international glory yet again!
Gary Neville offers ‘highest’ praise for Harry Kane ahead of Euros final
England skipper Harry Kane has been far from his best at the Euros in Germany. The striker has failed to replicate his unbelievable form with Bayern Munich for The Three Lions, but has still managed to place himself in pole position for the Golden Boot award! With three goals, Kane is England’s as well as the tournament’s joint top scorer.

Ahead of the final, Gary Neville revealed that England legend Wayne Rooney sees Kane as the greatest ever English player. Neville was also convinced that Kane is an undisputed starter for Gareth Southgate at this point of time. Several fans wanted Ollie Watkins to start over the Bayern Munich man, given the latter’s late goal to send England to the final.
Kane has been ‘off the mark’ for England at the Euros, with many criticizing his positioning and inability to make runs into the box for the team. With 66 goals in 97 appearances, Kane is the all-time leading goal scorer for England. Will The Three Lions finally win a trophy or will the wait go on for at least a couple of years more? Only time will tell.
