Collins has always had a passion for nail art. Before Wimbledon, she decorated her nails with cute strawberries to match the event’s theme. Her latest nail design highlights her excitement for the Paris Olympics.

Unfortunately, the nail art didn’t bring her luck in SW19, as she was eliminated by eventual champion Barbora Krejcikova in the Round of 16.

Danielle Collins headlines the Florida roster at the Paris Olympics

Florida has always been a hub for tennis talent, regularly producing top athletes. This year, the tradition continues with three Florida players (Coco Gauff, Danielle Collins, and Austin Krajicek) representing the United States at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Qualifying for the Olympic team is a big achievement. Players must be in good standing with the USTA on and off the court. They also need to have played for the United States in the Davis Cup or Billie Jean King Cup. Gauff, Collins, and Krajicek have all met these requirements and will proudly wear red, white, and blue.

Gauff has had an impressive start to 2024. After winning the 2023 US Open, she defended her title at the ASB Classic in January. With a record of 20-1 in sets at that tournament, it marked her seventh career singles title. She also won the French Open in Women’s Doubles with Katerina Siniakova, earning her first Grand Slam Doubles title.

Collins announced that 2024 would be her final year on the WTA tour. She began her career with multiple wins at the Bobby Curtis Junior State Championship. In her farewell year, she secured consecutive victories at the Miami Open and the Credit One Charleston Open, achieving a 13-win streak.

Krajicek is best known for his doubles skills. Last year, he won his first Doubles Grand Slam title at the French Open. His experience will be a valuable asset to the team at the Paris Olympics.
