Hungry Russian: Medvedev’s fascination with McDonald’s
Daniil Medvedev
World No.3 Daniil Medvedev is back in action at the ongoing Madrid Masters. The Russian is playing his first clay tournament of the year and has sealed his place in the round of 16 after beating Alejandro Fokina in three sets in his opening round.
The No.2 seed will face Christian Garin today in the Spanish capital. While his dislike and discomfort on the clay is well documented, the Australian Open runner-up will be keen to progress further in the tournament and resurrect his record on the clay.
However, regardless of what the outcome might be in coming days, Medvedev has plenty to look forward to in Madrid as far as eating is concerned. The 25-year-old is in love with McDonald’s and has mentioned how he will pay another visit to his favourite eating destination.
“Many times when I lose a match or when I finish a tournament, I go to McDonald’s. I like McDonald’s because it’s really good in Russia, the Russian quipped.”
Federer and Nadal love their chocolates
Although tennis players have to be very watchful about their diet, especially when on the tour, they have often expressed their various eating desires and habits. From restaurants to cafes, tennis players have visited their favourite eating outlets in various cities across the world. We know how Roger Federer loves to eat his chocolates and ice creams after his matches. Rafael Nadal too has expressed his addiction for chocolates, and often indulges in eating Spanish Paella too.
