Darby Allin proved to the wrestling world that no matter how battered he was, he would still come back. He returned on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite just three weeks after getting hit by a bus. The Daredevil joined the babyface group consisting of FTR and Bryan Danielson, standing tall against The Elite.
The 31-year-old wrestler last competed against Jay White at AEW: Big Business on March 13 in a losing effort. However, three weeks ago, he took to social media to announce that he was hit by a bus and broke his foot. After his return to AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin noted that he was still far from fit and needed to go to the hospital for further treatment of the injuries caused by the accident.
On the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, Kazuchika Okada defended his Continental Championship against Dax Harwood. Although the FTR member did try to put up a fight against the champ with some devastating moves, which included several uppercuts and a Top Rope Superplex, The Rainmaker finally picked up the victory to retain the title.
Things went haywire when The Elite came out and attacked Harwood, Bryan Danielson, and Cash Wheeler boasting their advantage in numbers. However, Allin surprised everyone by coming out and fending them off. He is one of the wrestlers known for literally putting his body on the line for people’s entertainment, just like when he went through the glass in Sting‘s retirement match.
