Influencer boxing events have undoubtedly made their mark in the world of boxing. These events have become significantly profitable in recent years. They often feature former MMA fighters competing against each other or internet personalities. Former UFC contender Darren Till recently made an interesting revelation regarding a boxing match with controversial influencer Andrew Tate.
Till is headlining the Misfits 22 card against former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold on 30th August 2025. The ‘Gorilla’ was scheduled initially to fight infamous boxer Tommy Fury in January; however, the bout was cancelled. Till recently revealed in an interview with ‘Seconds Out’ that he was embracing boxing and expected to fight Tate in December.

This was not Till’s first venture into boxing; he had made his boxing debut against influencer Mohammad Mutie at Social Knockout 3 in Dubai last year. However, his debut ended in a controversial brawl due to illegal punches being landed. However, Till defeated professional boxer Anthony Taylor via TKO at the MF DAZN X series 20 event. His most recent victory came against English fighter Darren Stewart via U-DEC.
Andrew Tate is no foreigner to the world of Combat Sports. The controversial kickboxer-turned-influencer is a four-time kickboxing world champion and has amassed 76 wins, nine losses, and one draw throughout his extensive kickboxing career. It was recently announced that the ‘Cobra’ is set to debut at the end of the year, making his heavyweight boxing debut for Misfits Boxing.
Till also revealed that the fight will take place in the UK and will feature Influencer boxer KSI. It remains to be seen how the fight unfolds, given the massive weight difference between the two. Tate is 6’3 and walks around at 205 pounds, whereas Till is 6 feet and usually fights at 185 pounds. However, the ‘Gorilla’ believed that his fight against Tate would be the main event in December.
Darren Till takes on Luke Rockhold at Misfits 22
Misfits Boxing 22: Ring of Thrones is set to light up Manchester’s AO Arena on August 30, 2025, with a stacked crossover card headlined by former UFC contenders Darren Till and Luke Rockhold. Till, who has transitioned into boxing with three straight victories, now looks to capture the inaugural Bridgerweight title.
The event also features a fan favorite matchup between UFC veteran Tony Ferguson and influencer Salt Papi in the middleweight division. The card also includes controversial MMA fighter Dillon Danis in his second boxing outing against professional boxer Warren Spencer.

Till has remained vocal about using boxing as a fresh start after his UFC run, sharpening his striking in a pure stand-up setting and proving he still belongs on big stages. Rockhold, meanwhile, is stepping into the squared circle for the first time as a professional boxer. However, he brings years of elite-level combat experience. The two were also involved in a heated brawl at the ceremonial face-offs.

With the inaugural Misfits Bridgerweight Championship on the line, both guys have real stakes beyond the show, ensuring that this isn’t simply another influencer-style event. Fans are waiting to see if Till’s slick boxing and youth can overpower Rockhold, or if the Californian’s experience and stature will counteract the Scouser’s momentum.
