The happiest faces after the New York Jets acquired Davante Adams in a trade deal with the Las Vegas Raiders were the fans. They hoped to see the magic Adams and Aaron Rodgers brought onto the field in Green Bay. However, in the veteran receiver’s debut game with the Jets, that excitement quickly turned into disappointment and he found himself facing the wrath of the frustrated fans.
The Jets finally appeared to find some stability after securing a victory against the Houston Texans. After his victory in New York, the three-time All-Pro receiver sent a stern message to the criticizing fans, referencing the old adage, “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”
“Sh** it took a second to put Rome together too,” wrote Adams on his Instagram story with a picture of him and Rodgers celebrating Week 9’s victory.

After two disappointing losses, Adams recorded his best performance on Friday with seven receptions for 91 yards, one touchdown, and 11 targets. Green Gang has now improved to a 3-6 season standing, heading for their Week 10 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
The Jets’ five-game losing streak tumbled their playoff hopes, effectively removing them from the list of contenders. While they still have a long way to go before being considered serious playoff candidates, this Week 9 victory could mark a turning point for them.
Aaron Rodgers reflects on a five-game losing streak after Jets’ victory
Following the solid victory, the ten-time Pro Bowler addressed the five-game losing streak during his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee show. He credited his improved health for his stellar performance of 211 yards and three touchdowns, revealing he hadn’t been in his best shape since Week 4.
Rodgers had sustained a hard hit on his left leg, forcing him to bend beneath him awkwardly. He was seen grasping his left leg after that and was also observed to be slow while getting up. Since it wasn’t a major injury, he returned to the field after some time but it affected his game in the following four games.
