There have been countless moments in NFL history when a catch astounded the entire stadium, but only a select few earned the spot on the List of the Top 5 catches in history. The question is whether Garrett Wilson’s one-handed catch against the Houston Texans falls in the former category of legendary catches or the latter. When Davante Adams was asked about it, he certainly felt it was the latter.

During a recent interview with Kay Adams on the Up & Adams show, the three-time All-Pro discussed the impressive one-handed touchdown leap by his teammate, Wilson during the game against the Texans. He applauded the catch with a bold claim of enlisting it among the Top 5 catches in football history.

This is, right here…just with everything included primetime, back in New York, back in MetLife in particular. This is the top 5 catch ever. We can act like it’s not because dudes are making a bunch of crazy one-handed catches but to do this, just with the situation…. to be able to throw your leg out like that, grip the ball. He literally caught it with one and just brought it back in and secured it with the other. It was ridiculous.

He further expressed his regret for not witnessing the moment Wilson made the catch as he was focused on something else on the field, but once he saw it on the big screen, he labeled it as one of the most incredible catches he had ever seen.

This wasn’t the first time Davante Adams addressed Wilson’s ‘JUMPMAN’ catch. In the post-game media interaction, he shared a joke he made to his teammate that he would lose his Adidas sponsorship because his catch heavily resembled the famous logo of Jordan.

I told him he might get kicked from Adidas after that one. I ain’t gonna say they gonna replace the logo, I know [Michael Jordan] might not like me saying that. But that was a hard catch.”

Well, it’s a stretch to say the star wideout would lose his Adidas sponsorship as he has signed a multi-year contract. But for future reference, he might anticipate being approached by Jordan when he becomes eligible for a contract.
