Could Davante Adams be considering joining his former teammate at the New York Jets? Well, it remains a question to date, however, his recent Instagram story might have some clue in it, given the timing is far more suggestive than coincidental.

The Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver shared a one-word cryptic story on Instagram while his former teammate, Aaron Rodgers scored a remarkable victory against the New England Patriots. The quarterback has been convicting the veteran wideout to join the strong offensive line in New York, but Adams has been rather inclined towards staying in Las Vegas.

By sharing a picture of himself with half worn jersey while holding the Raiders helmet on his head, he wrote, “Maybe.” From the picture, it appears he is taking off the helmet while his jersey is already rolled up to his chest.

Since the timing of his story is far from being a coincidence, many fans are speculating that the veteran superstar might be leaving some hints regarding his next stop before finishing bidding farewell to his legendary career. If he has plans for retirement in a few years, what’s more poetic than doing with his teammate, with whom he started his career?

Davante Adams downplays Raiders’ week 2 win

While Adams seems impressed by the Jets’ two back-to-back victories, he wants his team rooted to the ground despite the week 2 feat against the Baltimore Ravens at 26-23. He believes that they shouldn’t be overconfident over a single season as it doesn’t guarantee their Super Bowl appearance– what matters is their consistency.

It don't mean we're going to win the Super Bowl because we did that. But I think it means a lot in this locker room for us to dig deep, after not starting the way we wanted in the first game, let alone the first half. We can't be a team where we're just one dimensional and we've got the defense out there holding it down every single time.
Davante Adams told the reporters

He finished the game by logging nine receptions for 110 yards. Although Adams is right with his points, the Raiders’ week 2 feat showed Gardner Minshew II can handle the role bestowed upon him under new head coach Antonio Pierce.
