Veteran Davante Adams has found a new home this season, but speculations are already swirling around about his future with the New York Jets. However, he is moving forward with a zen mindset, focusing on his game rather than the surrounding distractions.

During the bye week, while many anticipated discussions with quarterback Aaron Rodgers about their uncertain future on the team, he chose to concentrate solely on improving his game and giving himself a break amidst the Jets’ 3-8 record.

In his recent interview on the Up & Adams show, Kay Adams inquired whether the three-time All-Pro discussed the ongoing speculations concerning his future in New York with his friend Rodgers. However, he revealed that not only he did not speak to Rodgers but also refrained from talking to the entire team during the bye week, giving himself time and space to relax.

To be honest I didn’t talk to anybody. I was out there just relaxing. I talked to my mom a couple of times but other than that, it was talking to my kids and my wife. It was real–You know, you talk about compartmentalizing, I just, I broke it down and separated from basically everything, which I needed.

As far as this season is concerned, Davante revealed the Jets locker room is utterly disappointing seeing the collapse of another season, which marked the continuation of the 14-year playoff drought– the longest postseason drought observed in professional sports.

Aaron Rodgers denies rumors of leaving Jets

While the six-time Pro Bowler’s future is uncertain, his teammate Rodgers has been reported to part ways with the franchise next season, due to his restrained relationship with owner Woody Johnson. There have been reports by NFL Insider Diana Russini that the veteran quarterback no longer wants to be part of Green Gang.

However, Rodgers recently spoke against the report and questioned the credibility of Russini in his recent appearance on Pat McAfee’s show. He described the rumors as “100% false” while giving his side of the story amid the criticism.

As far as my future goes, I haven’t told anybody in my life that I wanna play in 2025 and not on the Jets. That’s 100% false

Aaron Rodgers said about his future in New York

He clarified that he is uncertain that the Jets may not want him back given the disaster of this season but the media misinterpreted it into thinking he wants a way out.
