Davante Adams, the new Los Angeles Rams wide receiver, did not mince his words when discussing Travis Hunter’s potential as a dual-threat athlete in the NFL. Adams remains a big skeptic about Hunter’s aspirations.

In a recent sit-down with Channing Cowder on the Pivot podcast, Adams had some strong words.

I don’t even think it’s possible to do, for real, not at a high level. It’s hard enough to go cover a punt and then be on one side of it… That’s just a lot of mileage, man.

However, earlier this week, the Rams’ medical team announced that Stafford, 37, aggravated a disc in his back and will miss the start of the new season. This dampened the mood in LA.

Fortunately, Snead did his homework early by extending Jimmy Garoppolo’s contract. With Stafford decommissioned, Jimmy G received the nod to be the starter in the preseason and the start of the 2025 season.

Garoppolo has a history with Adams. Both were part of Josh McDaniels’ Las Vegas Raiders in 2023. Adams had a falling out with the veteran quarterback after he failed to connect with him on several occasions during games.
