With a four-time MVP backed by an experienced roster, The New York Jets (3-8) are no close to breaking the longest active postseason drought in the NFL. The playoff probabilities have shrunken to almost nothingness after the Week 11 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Davante Adams, who played alongside Aaron Rodgers joined the team midseason to revive the record. Adams parted ways with the Las Vegas Raiders in hunt of his first Super Bowl championship. However, things haven’t gone as well as Adams expected before he inked the deal. The Raiders and Jets finally are at the end of the same boat in terms of points.

The Green Gang are 3-8 to the season with both their coach and general manager out of the picture. Woody Johnson personally fired Robert Saleh following a loss while Joe Douglas exited the office this week. Amid the same, there have been questions regarding the signal caller Aaron Rodgers. Unsurprisingly, fans have expressed some concern, wishing to bench Rodgers.

In light of the recent advancements, Davante Adams spoke about his future with Rodgers in an appearance on ‘Up & Adams’ hosted by Kay Adams. Adams expressed that unlike the outside speculation, there hasn’t been any discussions on an exit on either’s part.

At this point, it’s really not something that gets brought up day to day. Because we both have a positive mindset and a way we want to attack every week, so if we get to talking about him being on a different team, me being on a different team, that’s just not what we need in our heads right now. We gotta put positive energy and thoughts out there and just keep working.

Earlier, Jeff Ulbrich, the interim head coach, expressed his interest in seeing Aaron Rodgers playing completely healthy for one full season. Similarly, Rodgers himself showed interest to continue with the team in future as well. Meanwhile, The Rodgers-Adams partnership in New York has fallen short of expectations, producing only 278 yards and one touchdown across five games.

Aaron Rodgers’ future in question mark with stats below Zach Wilson and Sam Darnold

The former Green Bay Packers quarterback has not been up to his mark, registering a worse win percentage than Zach Wilson and Sam Darnold. The Jets, who have always had an issue in the centre, had high hopes when they installed a seasoned Aaron Rodgers as QB.

After eleven weeks, it is clear that Rodgers hasn’t been able to revive the lost franchise. In fact, the stat only highlights whether Zach Wilson was actually developed for the role by the Jets. After all, the firing of Joe Douglas has raised some concerns whether Woody johsnosn is taking the right choices. Sam Darnold being a competent player under the Minnesota Vikings is testament to the fact that some players do good in some teams.

The silver lining for Rodgers and the Jets is that they now enter their bye week, providing an opportunity to regroup and strategize. Following the Week 12 bye, the Jets will face the Seattle Seahawks at home on December 1.
