Since the abrupt firing of head coach Robert Saleh, there have been a lot of speculations regarding Jeff Ulbrich‘s coaching style. Although quarterback Aaron Rodgers praised Ulbrich, his credibility was questioned due to his perceived role in Saleh’s firing.

However, it seems Ulbrich is making a positive impact as a head coach, especially with the support of newly acquired wide receiver Davante Adams, who has spoken highly of him despite the team’s three losses under him as head coach. Last Thursday, the Jets secured their first victory under interim head coach Ulbrich, ending their five-game losing streak

I love my coach. He’s just a real dude. It’s almost like… he’s too real for TV. I mean, when he gets up on the podium, he has to do it like a coach play. And I mean this in the most respectful way and in the best way possible, I love talking to him. I love the way he talks to the team. I love the way he holds guys accountable. I love the way he just goes about his job, makes it more like a family type of vibe.

Davante believes Ulbrich is fostering loyalty among the players, not just towards him but for the entire team to reach their fullest potential. He looks forward to the possibility of Ulbrich becoming the permanent head coach in the future.

Davante Adams shuts down critics following Jets’ victory over Texans

Following the impressive win against the CJ Stroud-led Houston Texans, the six-time Pro Bowler sent a blunt message to all his critics expecting him and quarterback Rodgers’ duo to perform miracles the minute they step on the football field together. As expected, when it didn’t happen they belittled him with criticism.

Referencing the ancient saying about Rome, Davante shared a picture from the Thursday Night Football game of him and Rodgers celebrating the victory on his Instagram story with the caption, “S**t, it took a second to get Rome put together too.”

He completed the game with an impressive seven receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown. This victory not only ended the Jets’ five-game losing streak but could also mark a turning point that the team desperately needed.
