After Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams’ stint with the New York Jets appears to be ending soon, though his time there was considerably shorter than the veteran quarterback’s. While not unexcepted for the Jets fans, what’s intriguing is the veteran wide receiver’s apparent interest in the Los Angeles Chargers, who could emerge as a potential landing spot.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler confirmed on SportsCenter, that the Jets are most likely to release the All-Pro wideout given his addition turn out to be nothing but a failure for the team. As things reach this stage, Adams reportedly wants to be released rather than negotiating a deal with New York.
Since the subject of his release is swirling around, Adams is quite intrigued by the possibility of playing for one specific team—the Chargers—following the failures with the Jets and the Las Vegas Raiders. Interestingly, his former team, the Green Bay Packers, has also been brought into the discussion, with merely a slight possibility of wanting him back.
He will have options, and I’m told that he is intrigued by the West Coast…You have teams like the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, maybe San Francisco 49ers. He’s from the West Coast, so it’s a possibility he could end up there. Maybe the Packers want to run it back to him as well if they could get involved there.

Herbert and Adams would be DANGEROUS 📈 pic.twitter.com/jNIucJLMZN
There’s a good chance that Adams may land in Los Angeles, as the team desperately needs good offensive weapons to take some burden off the shoulders of quarterback Justin Herbert.
Davante Adams could lean toward Rams following departure from New York
Though the Chargers are certainly the leading name, they aren’t the only West Coast team, which means the six-time Pro Bowler could be taking interest in the Los Angeles Rams over the Chargers. Given, his struggle due to the instability in the quarterback position in Las Vegas, there’s a good chance Adams would prefer a team with an already-established quarterback like Matthew Stafford in the Rams.

While it’s undeniable that Adams no longer plays at the elite level he once did in Green Bay, he remains a phenomenal offensive weapon as a pass-catcher. Adding him would significantly boost the Rams’ offense, potentially making them genuine Super Bowl contenders.
Another good reason for the Rams to consider acquiring the four-time All-Pro receiver is Cooper Kupp’s confirmed departure. Pairing him with young Puka Nacua can turn the Rams’ offense deadly for the opposing teams, developing the team into top contenders in the NFC.
