Since Aaron Rodgers expressed optimism about reuniting with his former teammate Davante Adams, it has become one of the biggest topics of discussion across the league. However, upon closer inspection, the rumors appear to be one-sided, as the veteran wide receiver has repeatedly insisted that he is happy with the Las Vegas Raiders, regardless of his interest in reuniting with Rodgers.
After his agent recently dismissed the trade rumors from the Raiders, Adams addressed the matter himself during his recent appearance in Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast, saying if there’s anyone he would be joining, it would be his good friend, Rodgers.
Well, I’ll answer it like this: If I’m gonna be reunited with anybody, it would be Aaron — or relocated and be anywhere, it’d be with Aaron. But that’s not really my — there was a lot of that stuff going on last year in the media and them asking, ‘What are you gonna do about this? Are you thinking about going here?’ And they talk about whatever without me even being involved in it.Davante Adams said
The All-Pro wide receiver also discussed the scenario of reuniting with the New York Jets’ star quarterback, claiming it would be “amazing” since he has familiarity with the quarterback and the two were a remarkable duo on-field.
Davante Adams reaffirms commitment to Raiders
While discussing his commitment to Las Vegas, the six-time Pro Bowler assured fans that he is dedicated to the Raiders and optimistic about the new era under head coach Antonio Pierce. Pierce notably led the team to a 5-4 record as interim head coach last season, turning around a poor 3-5 start.
Adams put an end to the trade rumors once and for all, stating that he is not currently considering exploring options elsewhere and is enjoying his time with the Raiders, just as they are.
I’m locked in with the Raiders and I really feel good about this team, and as far as I know they feel good about me. If that ever changes, if that got to a point where they weren’t feeling the same way, I ain’t done playing, so obviously we would figure out whatever we needed to figure out.

As much as Adams would love to reunite with Rodgers, he knows he doesn’t need the quarterback to be a great player. He admitted that though the veteran quarterback helped him be “better,” he certainly “didn’t create” the receiver.
