“If Michael Jordan was on this team…” Davante Adams throws team under the bus despite costly drop and Aaron Rodgers struggles in embarrassing losses
The New York Jets are now 3-7 despite having Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams and a plethora of talent on the squad.

Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets are struggling mightily, trying to find any sort of rhythm. After winning their previous game against the Houston Texans, they imploded on the road against the Arizona Cardinals. It becomes an even tougher pill to swallow for Davante Adams, who has seen three losses and just that one win.
But it was not just Adams who struggled with a costly drop. His friend and quarterback could not get the offense moving, ending with just 151 passing yards. But that number only shows part of the problem.
Rodgers managed to rack up that after completing a measly 22 out of 35 attempts. That number is abysmal considering how accurate and consistent the four-time league MVP is.
It could also point to a problem the entire offense is facing. But it was not restricted to the offense as the defense gave up more than 400 yards despite a couple of highlight reel plays. Adams, knowing all this, summed it up when speaking to reporters.
"If Michael Jordan was on this team he wouldn't be happy."

He was essentially responding to a question about how Aaron Rodgers was coping with the losses. But Adams’ reference to the NBA legend was to allegedly make a point that his QB is trying to play as well as Jordan did. But no matter how great Jordan was, he could not do much if the team surrounding him was this bad.
Aaron Rodgers struggling despite having the team of his choice
Davante Adams‘ words could be seen as one where he is throwing the rest of the team under the bus. That is, he and his QB are great, whereas others are not matching up. But what Adams might be missing is that the team was built around what Aaron Rodgers wanted.
The owner ceded to all his requests when deciding on the coaching staff, players, etc. Going by that record, fans know that he had a big hand in Robert Saleh losing his job. It also proves that whatever offseason player transactions they made were all done with his input.
But even then, the former Super Bowl champion has not stopped from pointing the blame at others. First, it was Saleh, then Mike Williams. Now it seems his favorite receiver is trying to do the same. If they continue to point the blame elsewhere, it might not be long before the New York Jets need a complete rebuild.
