As of January 26, the fans have their Super Bowl contenders, but the Buffalo Bills are nowhere to be found. The upsetting loss was resonated by Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy much like the Bills. The avid betting enthusiast mourns losing $1 million from Donald Trump meme coin over what he calls a ‘rigged NFL.’

Dave Portnoy is one of the many who deeply felt for the Buffalo Bills after a close 29-32 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC. After the match, the Barstool founder went to X to accuse the referees of their biases towards the opposition. Attaching an image of a play, he penned frustration over the alleged incompetency of the referees for making uninformed calls.

The fact the ref who spotted this football was totally blocked by Josh Allen’s back and the ref who was looking right at it just held his dick in his pants will never make sense till the end of time

Along with the text, Dave Portnoy wrote a ‘rigged NFL’ hashtag. Notably, this wasn’t the first time he voiced concern over the authenticity of the league. Additionally, the referees have been accused of favoritism several times in the past couple of offseason fixes. However, that wasn’t the only complaint he had from the game. He also vented agitation over the Bills’ lagging defensive play in his other posts.

If his posts are any proof, he had high expectations from Bills QB Josh Allen to save the day and his money. Regretfully, both saw dust as the Chiefs ascended to their third Super Bowl in a row. Portnoy was hoping to cash in big as he bet $1 million on the former team’s Super Bowl win. In a video update, he shared one million feat from Donald Trump meme coin.

Kansas City Chiefs star takes a jab at Dave Portnoy over $1 million loss

The AFC match was likely a tough one to watch for every Bills supporter as they hoped to reach the Super Bowl. Portnoy is widely known for his eternal support of the team which has cost him plenty of times in the past. Keeping that in mind, Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Drue Tranquill took a jab at the founder post-win.

Taking to X, Tranquill reposted a message by Portnoy calling out the referees for unfair practices during one of the plays. Referencing the Barstool Sports creator’s bet on the Bills’ Super Bowl win, he made a dig with the Chiefs win. Tranquill sardonically commented that Portnoy should have put the money to better use by taking a vacation.

The punch came hard and fast, making the fans quip if Portnoy’s bet served as extra motivation for the linebacker. The Barstool founder is known to have a knack for investments, which seem to always fall short when it comes to his affectionate team. Regardless, the Chiefs will now play the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.
