Dave Portnoy's shares horrifying boating experience

Dave Portnoy, Barstool Sports Founder had a horrifying experience on the Massachusetts coast recently. He lost all control and the US Coast Guard came in to rescue him.

Dave Portnoy took his mother out on a boat ride off the coast of Nantucket, as mentioned by him. Portnoy unhooked the boat without turning it on only to realize later that it had no power.

He explained the boat had no power, radio or anchor. To make the situation worse, the flow of the winds was heavy which led him to drift out to the sea. He kept screaming and shot a distress signal which, he claimed nobody had ever done while being on the boat.

Portnoy was rescued by the US Coast Guards. He claimed that there was a woman on a rowboat who recognized him and called the coast guards. He also thanked the woman saying he owes his life to life.

Dave Portnoy cashing in $2.7 million by Betting on UConn

Barstool Sports founder wagered $600,000 on UConn in the NCAA men’s championships. Lucky for him, UConn’s big win over Purdue cashed him a whopping $2.7 million.

Portnoy took to Twitter to share “The greatest bet of my life”. Portnoy’s bet was a moneyline wager placed right before the tournament. UConn had to win six games for him to get his payoff.

Since 2018, sports betting has been legalized in 38 states of the USA along with the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Single-game sports betting may be allowed to customers via legal retail or online and mobile sportsbooks. However, restrictions still apply on the same.
