Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts was never seen more hyped up in the clubhouse than now after the team won the NLDS to advance to the NLCS for the first time since 2021. In a champagne-doused clubhouse, he could be heard shouting “Let’s f***ing go!!”.

He said, “I’ve never believed in a group of men more than I’ve believed in you guys,” lifting the team spirits after the massive win against San Diego Padres with a 2-0 victory. His speech not only hyped up the players but also the fans who have been waiting for this moment for so long.

Amid criticisms of exiting playoff games early on in the past few seasons, the Dodgers proved themselves with Friday’s win. Dave Roberts said to win postseason games one shouldn’t be afraid to fail and rise to the occasion when it calls for it.

We’re in Los Angeles. Some of the greatest athletes of all time. And those great ones aren’t afraid to fail. When you talk about the postseason in whatever sport, you can’t be afraid to fail. And this guy always rises to the occasion.

He highly praised the two instrumental players who contributed to the team’s win against Padres – Kike Hernandez and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Hernandez’s solo homer in the second inning sealed the team’s fate to victory, while the Japanese star went five scoreless innings to shut down the opponents.

Joining Alex Rodriguez, David Ortiz, and Derek Jeter in an interview after the game, Roberts talked about his plans for tonight. He joyfully noted that the first thing he’s going to do is “finish my cigar” and then “I’m going to enjoy the heck out of tonight.”

Kike Hernandez drops ‘F’ bomb after electric win against Padres

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Kike Hernandez could not contain himself after the team advanced to the NLCS for the first time since 2021. When asked what made the team different this year, he made sure that his words got caught on live television as he shouted, “The fact that we don’t give a f***.”

His home run against Yu Darvish in the second inning was what propelled the team to win the series against Padres. Teammate Teoscar Hernandez added another homerun following his HR to secure their win.

Kike Hernandez further talked about how visualization helped him in the game. In a game filled with anticipation, anxiety, and self-doubt it’s the visualization of a better version of oneself that helps keep him locked in.

Whenever those thoughts come in, I visualize myself having success over and over again. You get to the field the next day, and you have already seen the day happen. So nothing overwhelms you, no moment gets too big.

Third baseman Max Muncy revealed the message Kike Hernandez left before the game, “‘Forget them all’,” referring to the questions that kept the team hounding prior postseason games. It sure worked out for the team as they shut down all the doubters with their NLDS game win. Their NLCS Game 1 is scheduled on Sunday against the New York Mets at Dodgers Stadium.
