The Los Angeles Dodgers suffered a 6-2 loss in Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday night. After the game, manager Dave Roberts found himself getting slammed by fans after he claimed that his team has not found the “rhythm” yet.

The Dodgers entered the field on Tuesday following a thrilling Game 3 victory. In a showdown that lasted 6 hours and 39 minutes, the National League side edged out the Toronto Blue Jays 6-5 through a walk-off home run from Freddie Freeman in the bottom of the 18th inning.

Around 18 hours after that 18-inning classic, the two teams were back at it in Game 4. Once again, the Dodgers took the lead before the Blue Jays mounted yet another comeback.

A 2-run home run from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in the 3rd inning off Shohei Ohtani saw the Blue Jays turn the game around. The visitors put up 4 runs in the top of the 7th inning and took a 6-1 lead as Anthony Banda and Blake Treinen were unable to restrict the Blue Jays from scoring.

The Dodgers did pull one run back in the 9th inning to make it a 6-2 game. However, the Blue Jays looked pretty comfortable with the lead and went to claim the win and level the series at 2-2.

After the game, Dave Roberts made a huge comment regarding his team. The 53-year-old claimed that his team has not found the “rhythm” and that they draw dead at certain points in games after a reporter asked whether the team had found a good enough rhythm offensively in the postseason.

We haven’t found our rhythm. We haven’t. It sort of draws dead at certain parts of the lineup in different innings, different games.

Dave Roberts said in the post-game conference

In Game 4, the Dodgers’ offense was limited to just 6 hits. Ohtani, who reached base 9 times in Game 3 and has been the team’s top offensive star, went 0-for-3 on Tuesday with 2 strikeouts.

Amid Dodgers’ offensive struggles, Dave Roberts reveals plans to shake up lineup for Game 5

The Los Angeles Dodgers have struggled a bit offensively in the postseason. Apart from a few top names, many have endured tough times in the batter’s box. Amid these struggles, Dave Roberts has revealed his intention of shaking up the lineup for Game 5.

The stats for some top names like Mookie Betts, Max Muncy, Tommy Edman, and Enrique Hernandez do not show a good reading. While Muncy has hit a home run this series, the other three have not made too much impact with the bat.

The form of Betts is a major concern. The 3-time World Series winner is 3-for-19 in the Fall Classic this season and has not produced a single run.

The fans have also called in to take Andy Pages out of the lineup and replace him with Alex Call. Pages has batted with a .080 average, going 4-for-50 in the postseason. Meanwhile, Call has gone 4-for-9 and batted with a .444 average in 6 postseason games this year.

During the press conference after the game, Roberts admitted that he will think long and hard about the lineup, hinting changes into the lineup.

I’m gonna think long and hard, and it might look a little bit different tomorrow.

Game 5 will see Trey Yesavage and Blake Snell on the mound in a rematch of Game 1. Following the action on Wednesday, the series will shift back to Toronto for a potential Game 6 clincher in the World Series.
