Aaron Boone likely to return to Yankees in 2025 despite World Series failure
After the Game 5 loss, several fans have urged for the removal of Aaron Boone from his post as manager. However, as per reports from Andy Martino of SNY, Boone is expected to return to his position in 2025.
Boone has completed the final year of his contract. However, it does have a club option for 2025. It is reported that the Yankees have optioned for that. Even if the Yankees ended up getting swept, the 51-year-old would have returned. As per Martino, the Yankee organization ‘views‘ him as a right leader.

The former Yankees player was asked about his future in a press conference. Regarding this, he simply said he did not know and would see what the organization decides.
A reason for his extension could be due to the success he had in the regular season. In his seventh season in charge of the team, Boone won the Yankees’ first American League pennant since 2009. Only time will now tell what’s next in store for Boone.
