The paparazzi lost their minds after noticing Aaron Rodgers wearing a black substitute band on his ring finger. It did not take long for the gossip warriors to figure out the reason behind Rodgers’ sudden affection toward fake jewelry.
The days leading up to signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers were filled with curious rumors and loads of different speculations about the 41-year-old. He reportedly went on a quiet retreat before stepping into the public sphere by attending the 2025 Kentucky Derby.
Rodgers’ presence was surprising, but nothing out of the ordinary. The Super Bowl winner nearly every year since the mid-2010s has watched the horses zoom past while sitting in the gallery of the historical course.
However, something was different this time around. The novelty ring on his finger caused a lot of commotion on social media because it is hard to imagine someone wearing an accessory on their ring finger unless they are married.
So, did Aaron Rodgers take his nuptial vows when no one was looking? If so, then who was the lucky girl the future Hall of Famer had chosen to be his wife?
Rodgers has had a few flings over the years with actor Olivia Munn and NASCAR legend Danica Patrick, including an unsuccessful engagement to actor Shailene Woodley in 2022.
The media’s quest for an answer finally ended (kind of) during Rodgers’ first press conference as the Steelers’ new quarterback. He apparently married a woman named Brittani with an I in her name.
People Magazine reported that the name Brittani first appeared on the Christmas episode of the Pat McAfee Show in December 2024.
There was one package left for my girlfriend Brittani that hadn’t shown up yet. I was waiting on this to show up, it showed up today.
Aaron Rodgers said
Rodgers called his and Brittani’s relationship a ‘serious’ affair. Then, they secretly wrapped up the marriage without even telling anyone. Even Rodgers’ parents don’t know much about their daughter-in-law.
Aaron Rodgers’ former teammate makes fun of his marital status
The secrecy of the wedding raised a lot of eyebrows and suspicions. People began questioning the legitimacy of the wedding. Some even went as far as suggesting that it’s all a hoax and the person, Brittani, doesn’t exist.

While everyone has been busy decoding Rodgers and Brittani’s secretive marital status, his successor at Green Bay got hitched during the weekend. The Packers quarterback Jordan Love married his long-time partner and professional volleyball player Ronika Stone.
Two-time All-Pro offensive tackle David Bakhtiari, who spent years playing alongside both Rodgers and Love, took an indirect jab at the four-time league MVP.
Love is love. Congrats to the Loves. Just happy at least one of my quarterbacks invited me to their wedding.
David Bakhtiari tweeted

Clearly, the tweet poked fun at Rodgers, keeping his wedding a secret from everyone.
Rodgers dropped a subtle hint about keeping his wedding and his wife a mystery. He did not want the media to pry too much into his private life in a similar fashion to his football career.
Apart from this, Rodgers is quite possibly entering the final year of his pro football career, and he has ambitions of bowing out with a second championship win. To do that, he must defeat Love and the Packers in week 8 of the new season.
