Manchester United legend David Beckham backed the club’s new owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, labeling him as the best and biggest businessman. He also backed the new owners to make necessary changes to the club, following an unpopular Sir Alex Ferguson removal.
The Red Devils experienced a major ownership change early this year, with the Glazer family selling off a 25 percent minority stake to INEOS group chairman, Sir Jim Ratcliffe. The new minority owner took no time to implement changes. They are yet to win the EPL title, since former manager Sir Alex Ferguson departed in 2013. They also ended the 2023-24 season in eighth place. A new Ratcliffe decision has however angered fans, with Sir Ferguson being removed as the ambassador of the club.
Former Manchester United player David Beckham, however, was of a different opinion as he backed the new changes. Speaking on the Rio Ferdinand podcast, the Englishman stated that the club definitely needed the change and a new perspective in decision-making. Moreover, he backed Ratcliffe, praising him as the big businessman, with the ability to reclaim the good old days of the club. He also reminded fans of the failed previous leadership, while asking them to remain patient with the new owners.

David Beckham picks his all-time five-a-side team, surprisingly picks just one Manchester United player
Man Utd legend and Inter Miami owner David Beckham picked a five-a-side team of the best players he had shared the pitch with. Despite having spent many successful years at the Old Trafford, he just picked a single United player in his dream team.
Having played for clubs like United, PSG, Real Madrid and AC Milan, the 49-year-old named two defenders in Milan, legend Paolo Maldini and Madrid great Roberto Carlos in his dream five-a-side lineup. In the midfield, he named Frenchman Zinedine Zidane, while he named Brazilian legend Ronaldo and United legend Roy Keane in the attack.

However, he did not pick Manchester United legends Gary Neville and Paul Scholes, two players with whom he spent the most time on the pitch. Three of them played more than 300 matches for the Red Devils.
